LotR JRR Tolkien was played with both 1.0c and UP1.4 and seems broken on both.
Its quite slow paced as you spend much time walking from destination to destination with no enemies. There seems to be a trigger event that converts your militia into cataphracts but it doesnt work on both game versions used and the dark riders will easily kill your militias as is. No way forward.
It couldnt be played due to trigger bugs.
It makes little attempt to differentiate itself from other fixed force missions and is simply a retelling of the books to boot, albeit on a much simpler and shorter level.
Map Design 2
The map is roughly on par to a random map, with chunky forests with no detailing, rivers that consist of only 1 water type, paths that are very wide strips of cobblestone road, and fairly large areas of blankish terrain.
Quite barebones, with no objectives, hints, history, etc whatsoever. There is only some ingame dialogue which barely sufficed to give a basic idea what to do. Even then, your always told specifically what to do, like go east, go south, follow that trail. The objectives should give you an overarching goal then allow the player to find out how to do the goal;this "story" holds your hand every step of the way.
"Read the Book" is not an adequate excuse for a lack of story, the scenario should tell its own story not rely on an outside source.
