This is a single scenario game in which you must play as the Ottoman sultan Mehmed II and capture Constantinople.Its not 100% historically accurate.
Errrrrrr......Sorry,the first version I downloaded had a major flaw in it......(one damn little trigger turned on,when it should've been turned off)...This is the proper version,please download this,instead of the other version.....

"The Fall of Constantinople - 1453 AD" is yet another take on the classic city assault. I must say, for a city that only fell 3 times in actual history, it certainly has taken it on the nose from the scenario design community over the years.
Its a fairly dull play, as your massed jannisaries advance in rank, mowing down the enemies easily. You outranged the defenders arbalests, and they have few onagers and no bombard cannons. The map is far to large and you will spend many minutes waiting for your troops to march around the city to fulfill the first objective.
Your 160+ man army easily outmuscles the defenders, and would have a fair shot at winning in an open field battle against all the defenders at once, which is backed up by the military stats screen which shows the player having the largest army at any one time. The 90 elite jannisaries in particular have massive firepower and combined with your bombard cannons, monks, and trebuchets make a cupcake walk out of it.
Its the same old constantinople siege, except its very simplistic with little deviations from the usual script.
Map Design 2
The map is adequately detailed for the most part to earn an above random map rating, a 3. But its the actual execution and aesthetic appearances that drag it back down. First of all, the forests are quite chunky, simple affairs with no detailing;only some even have some gaia grass placed in them. The roads are broad, wide and lack detailing except for a very rare splotch or two of different road materiel. The ground itself has some very basic terrain mixing, but really its just some non-dirt1 textures single clicked randomly on a dirt1 flat world base. Mostly the ground is just plain mono-terrain however. At times the map has been spammed with deer and boars that add little to it, get in the way, and look ugly with lots of white outlines. Also, the area around the road to germany makes me shudder in horror when imagine what the authors depiction of germany itself may look like. Constantinople itself is about as generic and plain looking as cities come, with its vast broken road terrain and endless expanse of buildings.
The objectives and hints were minimalistic, with no scouts tab present. The scenario has has the classic problem of minor characters instructing a sultan\king\general on what to do. Even if it is a "strict military operation" thats no reason to be following orders "on the dot" as you are playing as the sultan who gives those orders.
