Second version of Defend a Castle has come! It's allmost same game than normal Defend a Castle but now it has: much better eyecandy, something like "get kills get researches/units" and so on, even history texts. But the idea is still same. Again it's defend your castle against from hugelous enemy waves.
You may think that it's stupid idea. But think it like this: You have an army, castle to defend, hugelous enemy waves and a clock (or points). What you can do with them? You can train your defending skills! Take time from clock or look for points when you get better score than yesterday!
So it's a mini-game like scen. That's the point. |

In this scenario, you have a fortess, and castle inside it, your objective is to protect your castle, unfortunely there is many promblems.
Playability - It says in the early instructions that you can not win this scenario, which is a correct statement, now at first, this game a normal Build and destroy is Ok, but looping triggers, creating enemy units, makes it after a while, tedious.
Balance - You can't win this scenario, not just that, you can't really lose this scenario, because your enemies have no siege weapons.
Creativity - Not Creative, except for one thing, after a certain amount of kills you get resources and research, but it's been done before.
Map Design - Very good, great effects with flowers and other GAIA Objects, great realistic effects with elevation, but one little promblem, the map you can get to is surronded cliffs, but at one point you get a monk, you see outside the cliffs, where there just grass, one little fault there, but very good all the same.
Story\Instructions: No Story, But The Instructions and hints were very very clear, one other thing that lets it down is a cartoony bitmap.

Playability (4): well...this is one of the options that get more rating because lets you play for a long time ( if you are a good player ) , but the only problem is that...... is the same all the time , but lets you practice for defend your castle in a real game ( internet )
Balance (4): here is another good rating , you can't win but your enemy only atack by foot........if your enemy can build siege like Trebuchet , you are finish!!!!! :(
Creativity (3): it has some creativity , like the terrain and like Danielthemaster saids: after kill a certainly numbers of enemy , you can get units and research , also the relics for all over the territory and the villagers
Map Design (3): it has some kind of good terrains things , cliffs , trees , but not enought , can be better
Story/Instructions (3): the instructions are clear but it needs some creativity
anyway......is a good scn , with some problems that every scn have , i thing is perfect if you wanna practice to the Defend a Castle..... |
