Robin Hood is one of those early scenarios with a whopping 4000+ downloads. It came out at a time when people really wanted some campaigns to play, and the robin hood name has good name recognition strength to bring people in.

Playability 1

Unfortunately the first scenario's victory conditions couldnt be met. It seems the author doesnt know about triggers and relies on the standard game win conditions, but the enemy will scout around a vast map with 1 unit and must be tracked down to win. In the second scenario you have deathmatch resources and the enemy is 100% inactive and awaits its defeat. Scenario 3 is a random map fortress game with deathmatch resources and huge starting armies. Its an easy win, and way over that 75 pop limit from the start too.

Balance 1

There wasnt the slightest chance of the player losing, infact the enemies were completely passive in the first two scenarios, and then you faced off in a random map against a normal AI, except that AI is limited to a fixed force army only, and your in deathmatch mode. Your army is about twice as strong as their force in addition.

Creativity 2

The author seems to be on the right track with the scenario ideas and compilation presented, but its just not developed or fleshed out in any way.

Map Design 1

The maps earn a minimum score due not only to the presense of large swathes of blank terrain, but entirely blank maps further into the scenarios. The author does seem aware of a good foresting technique, as his mega pine forest in scenario1 is well along the way to looking nice. If he had simply applied this technique to all three scenarios, it could have gotten a 2 for being functional.

Story\Objectives 1

There is terribly little objectives and hints, and even the little that exists isnt clear enough so the player knows what to do. No story at all.

Final Thoughts: Not worth a download.
