Role Playing Strategy |
This is the continued story of Shadowmind. For those that have played the first one, this scenario shall answer any question from the last edition, which may have confused you.
Here are some features of this edition
- The twisted and dark plot continues..
- Control Various people..not the same unit the whole scenario..which makes IMHO the scenario less boring..for you do not see the same unit over a long period of time.
- Serval battle scenes. Watch towns crumble when forces of evil raid and pillage some towns.
- The use of the Click/Talk method..only enhanced so the object must be in your area..to give the scenario a more realistic feel.
- At one point..control a mass amount of units as you take battle against a tough force
- Sneaking into enemy towns..while you must use..steath, for if you are caught...Game Over.
- Several AoK Dragon Appearances.
- Detailed Map
- Many triggers..around 300
Story: I should not say much here, for those who have yet to place the first two Episodes. But for those who have played the first two..here is where the story starts.
"By a darkened ruins of a village lonf forgot through the mists of time..two young warriors head through them..toward the city of Phino to disscuss the chance of Zorlon being once again a major threat But all is not well in the sutile commuties...and fate has a cruel trick on them"
I hope you enjoy my creation..I am in the midst of making a 4th Episode..so if you have any comments/Suggestions mail me at Shadows166@cs.com.
See you for now...

Shadowmind - Episode III is a colossal scenario in every way. I have to say that I was totally blown away by this scenario and I must admit that I shocked by the rating this game received. Although the game received a good rating, I truly believe that this game should have been a 5.0 rating and I will clarify as to why that is.
First of all, the scenario's Playability was beyond awesome. Everything here is pure quality and I still amazed from what I have just gone through. I disagree with downward spiral reasoning about lowering the score about the “walking”. Of course, some of the indication could have been made clearer in the part of the game where you must re inspect the ruins, but nonetheless this was no reason to lower the score just for that.
The balance was right on and it was simply a blast to play through this game. I believe that the "full-scale battle scene” was absolutely brilliant. I saved right before engaging the enemy, and I scouted with one of my cavalier and from there I created a battle tactic. At the end, I had still way over 189 units out of 305 under my control. The last battle was really about micromanaging and grouping units played a major role in winning.
Shadowmind's third episode's Creativity was insanely good. Of course one of two things here and there might have been done before, but never to such a high standard.
The map design was fantastic and it was amazing how much Shadow has improved since the earlier versions. The map design really has a unique flavor to it.
Shadowmind Episode III has one of the best and most intriguing story in any scenario/campaign. Also, I each episode in this epic saga gets better and better.
In the end, the Shadowmind Episode III is a true masterpiece and very few games can come close to this game.
Enjoy this last moment of peace because Zorlon is coming for your head.  |

This campaign is without a doubt one of the greatest ever made for the blacksmith.

Shadowmind episode 3 has a very cunning storyline indeed, although i didn't expect it to end that way. The overall atmosphere of the game was very engaging and i have enjoyed playing the 3 characters involved. The balance wasn't that excellent in the battle b/w the friendly villagers and Zorlons army. However, the part involving the meeting(or council?) took a little too long. Good Job. |
