'French Version' does not mean that it has instructions in French or that they speak French there all the time. Don't worry, its in English. It's just you have to fight for the French in this campaign.
October 25, 1415, Saint Crispin's day. On his way to Calais, near the village of Agincourt, Henry of England is confronted by a superior French force commanded by Constable d'Albret, Marshal Jean Bouciquaut, Duke d'Alencon and other French nobles.
This time you are Duke d'Alencon and you fight on the French side (every time, in all scenarios, when the French meet the English at Agincourt, they loose! It's time to stop it, they just cannot sit and wait for Joan of Arc! All they need, is some discipline and a reasonable commander. Give them their chance to win!). Knowing your abilities, Constable d'Albret was going to make you the second in command. Some of his colleagues, however, like Marshal Bouciquaut, Jaques of Chatillon, the admiral, and half a dozen of Dukes, have their own strategic views and want no Commander-in-Chief to tell them what to do and how to win battles. If Duke d'Alencon has any chance to command the army of France, it's only after all these great Lords get killed or wounded. Meanwhile they are going to act on their own. All d'Alencon can do, is to give them some advice. They may listen to him, or they may not.
