Another Lord Of The Rings scenario. See the \'Two Towers\' comments for info. This scenario concerns *SPOILER* the part of the final book where the hobbits return home and are forced to liberate the Shire from Sarumans clutches.
It was very playable, but not in the right sense; you barely needed to do anything. I didn't like how the game ended just as Frodo and company encountered Saruman; this seemed very anticlimactic and really ruined what would otherwise have been a decent scenario.
It was too easy. Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry easily took down Lotho's Ruffians without any of them taking more than half damage. However, I realize and appreciate that this is supposed to be an epilogue, and more of a "playable cutscene" than anything else.
Evil Sepheroth chose an aspect of LOTR that very few others have interpreted before: the Scouring of the Shire. However, I was slightly disappointed, while not at all disgusted, with the amount of creativity that Evil Sephiroth used. However, this scenario did not actually call for a lot of amazing new tricks or thousands of triggers; what Sephiroth had did fit the bill quite well.
Map Design: 3
The map was all right; I especially liked the design of the industrialized and partially destroyed Hobbiton. I liked the straight tree lines, they may have actually been quite accurate (I'm disagreeing with Yuri Ninja here). However, not the whole map is covered and there's just too much Grassland 1 for my taste.
The story and instructions were crystal clear; go into Hobbiton and wipe out Lotho's men. However, I thought that there could have been much more sparkle to the actual storytelling, with the whole encounter with the Shiriffs in Frogmorton or Wormtongue's killing of Saruman and his subsequent death.
Additional Comments: Worth a download, but this does not really deserve to be up at the top. Good work, Sepheroth, I look forward to more by you!
