This scenario is purely fictional. It is about a Sir named John who has to kill the King of Monlion. Watch those amazing graphics and triggers. Triggers are not 100% ready. Please download, play and rate this.
In "The Fall on Monlion" you witness the exploits of Sir Luthon II as he clashes with the "Armees" of Monlion and Chavereux.
As you rampage through France , you'll have the keep your eyes peeled for Vikings and fanatical spiritualist from Monlion
PLAYABILITY: As has become a habit of mine (whether good or bad and know not) , I give a "4" to scenarios that I consider bug
free. Barring nothing else spectacular about the scenario's playability (good or bad) , I simply give a score of "4". This
scenario fits the label I just gave.
BALANCE: Undoubtedly , this was the worst aspect of the scenario. You are given a large army to conquer France , and you have
a complete town already built. In addition , you are never attacked and your enemies never do any work on their economy. This
scenario screams for a proper AI file. As it is , you are never threatened with defeat and you could probably win with the
soldiers you begin with.
CREATIVITY: Few things jumped out at me creativity wise in this scenario. I'm not even mentioning the fact that there was nothing
even remotely original with your objective (destroy all enemies). Even so , I could find potential. There was a super monk with
"fire power". I had the watch out for the spooky "Cimetieres" which would drain the hitpoints of anyone foolish enough to enter.
The Map Copy tool was put to use. I'm unsure if elephants were used much in medieval French armies , though. ;) I noticed a
forest with dozens of cracks and white flags. Could this be a set up to use the rain mod pack Lord_Yuri_Ninja used in
Counter Strike ?
MAP DESIGN: The quality of the map designing surpassed all other aspects of the scenario. The author obviously spent a lot of time
crafting this detailed map. The only negative point is the flower land bridge. The map could do without it.
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: The author needs to put some more work into the story and instructions. There was a modest prologue , but next to
none in-game instructions. You were supposed to be able to get some important information by clicking on units , but this area wasn't
completed. It would be nice to know some stuff about Luthon *wink wink* . SOME of the dialogue is in French.
In short , this is an average scenario with an attractive map , but we must keep in mind that this is only the beta version.
If the author is willing to make improvements , then the finished product should be of high quality.
