Story:You are a peasant in Bremen, a city in Germany.One day as you walk with your horse you see raiders coming.You turn back and inform the peasants in Bremen but the Polish are already here.You must cross the wintered forests and reach villages to find mercenaries and volunteers to attack the Polish stronghold.Will you emerge victorius or you will just sit and die?

A short scenario, where you play the role of Alexander, and help defeat an invading king

PLAYABILITY: Not a really enjoyable game for a couple of reasons. First the instructions are lacking greatly, and had me walking all over the map looking for a horse that turned out to be a scout. The instruction was “find the horse”, so I walked all over the city until finally I passed close enough to a scout which activated the trigger with my next instructions. Secondly the only action was to destroy a castle, and it just so happened that I had only enough army to do it with, VICTORY.

BALANCE: The Kings troops were far too superior to anything I had, but again I was to destroy his castle only, and since I had only enough of an army to complete it, then I guess the balance was good.

CREATIVITY: There is a short cutscene at the beginning of the game, along with a bit of dialogue afterward. That is about all I could find in the way of creativity.

MAP DESIGN: The map had a couple of odd placements of path over water that repeated itself across the map like a pattern,which took away from a natural look. The main city was lacking detail and also had too much road that made it look artificial. A long string of cliff ran through almost the entire East of the map giving it an unusual look. I found also that there was too much stone road used throughout the map.

STORY / INSTRUCTION: This is the games weakest part, and the major cause of a lack of fun.
There is hardly any story in the game, and the instructions are lacking greatly. The first part of the game Alexander says he’s going back to the stables, but their not marked. Walking about in a map with no idea where to go, is one of the biggest fun killers of any game. When I found some mercenaries, I was not given any new objectives; I got a clue from the hints that led me to destroy the castle.

I don't believe there was much playtesting in this game
