The King has given Cortez an island off the coast of the tropics of central America. He has supplied a small base and a few troops. Build up your army and devastate the Mayans.
This was originally the first scenario in a campaign about Cortez's conquers in the new world, but I never find time to do the campaign. Hopefully i'll get around to it, but for now i'll post just one of the scenarios. It is still very good by itself i think. It's not historically accurate in the least bit.....so don't expect that! :)
Your Cortez Land Scenario was great, but I found some stuff that made it unrealistic. Player 2, red had stables, in history the Mayans never had stables so you can delete that and instead put an Archery range which would make it more challenging to beat because many of my Conquistadors died from skirmishers.Around the Mayan Wonder there was I think 1 bombard Tower, you can delete that because the Mayans never had gunpowder towers back then. In the history tab you can put some info on the history of the spanish conquest of the Mayan empire, just go to www.encarta.com and copy and paste some history. And the #1 thing that I found was near greens gates, you placed some purple eagle warriors near the gates, which blocked the gates and greens rams and onagers couldnt get through, so I never experienced that ram rush on the mainland. So think about deleting those default purple units you placed near the gates because they blocked greens army from attacking me and there was virtually no challenge in the game. And if Im right the map looks like the tip of Mexico, the yucatan. You should add another Mayan player, but with town center, just a few little camps around the map with 5 or 6 units with a few pavilions, because red player was no challenge at all. Plus the map is just so empty, it needs another enemy. Good map, Im a major fan of the Spanish battles, thank you for making a great scenario.
