Have you ever walked in the shoes of a Hitman? No? Then, put them on and carry on your first contract in Martinique. But beware as your prey may well become your hunter in this game of intrigue, love and pain.

Your operation will be sabotaged from the start which will also lead you to quite a funny but sick blunder... Burn, baby burn...

Enjoy and let me know if you need to reload.

The Hitman – Part 1 is a RPS, mainly cut-scene supported story telling with playable parts. You are a hit man, no independent contractor, one with a fixed employment and you work for a wise guy, giving you a hit on the isle of Martinique. You can’t rely on the support of a local family, have to bring your own gun and your mark is a local gang boss by the name of Crusher, working in the protection business. Lately increased security checks on airports make you choose a boat trip, but not all seems to go by plan.

PLAYABILITY: Enjoyable scenario and a nice way to pass a short period of time. It is unusual that the contractor is known to the mark, the scenario’s main character works more like a warrior on revenge than a hit man, who should not be personally involved. 4

BALANCE: I played the scenario on moderate without one single reload. I have the impression that challenge was not in the intention of the author, as he asked to play moderate to make the triggers work best. The structure is an interactive cut-scene, but some challenge could have been added to the final battle. The player has control of a group of armed locals and the enemy gang is far too weak, no strategy necessary. The same applies for the head on with the mark. 2

CREATIVITY: Above average creativity, from the basic idea to the realization, especially the story, the maps, the humour, a little sick once, not really realistic. There were some nice scenes and ideas like a pop concert with a good chorography performed by dancing monks, time to get a drink and help from a cleaner and some good triggers. 4

MAP DESIGN: The small maps for the different scenes are all laid out well, with terrain mix, elevations, different seasons and enough Gaia. 4

STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: Pleasant BMP, clear objective, enough hints and a well told, also in game developing story. The story itself is unrealistic from the start, as the hit man is known on Martinique where he passed already his holidays. 4

OVERALL: Entertaining, too easy scenario.

OBSERVATION: The sounds used are from Gyda’s Challenge and Tamerlane Prince of Destruction. Credits for the use of these sounds go to Ingo van Thiel and Mark Stoker.

SUGGESTIONS: You have to play test the balance, add more challenge and use a search machine for your story.

IN CLOSING: I recommend the download.
