The campaign consists of three scenarios, out of which the second has some playability, the game style is B&D or better a FF with B&D elements. The story is fiction; The British Empire has just entered the South Pacific Ocean, fighting the Japanese.
PLAYABILITY/BALANCE: This was no fun at all. In the first scenario you have to explore 50% of the sea map. You just build three fishing boats and victory is yours in some minutes. The second has as objective to only conquer three islands as the main island is too difficult (castle age) for now. All islands are easy with the four long bowmen and two trebuchets you get from the start. I trained two monks and took a villager for repairs in plus. In the third scenario (imperial age) you have also a base on the three islands and have to conquer the centre one, what you just did. The enemy is not training any villagers or more units; the character is set to none in the editor. 1
CREATIVITY: Apart from the story, this is rated below, nothing to mention. 1
MAP DESIGN: The custom made map consists of some islands with one water depth and square walls. 2
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: Clear objectives, enough hints and a story connecting the scenarios. 4
OVERALL: Too easy.
SUGGESTIONS: Give at least standard AI to all players. Your map was done from scratch; also the standard AI will not recognize this as a water map and not build ships. You should take a random isle map and change it to your needs.
IN CLOSING: I do not recommend this campaign, unless the player attributes himself AI files to the computer players.
