PLEASE PLAY THIS SCENARIO ON FAST. ALL THE TRIGGERS HAVE BEEN CALIBRATED FOR THAT SPEED.
ALSO, DO NOT USE AOK:TC TO PLAY THIS RPG BECAUSE IT SCREWS UP THE HEROES AND SOME OF THE TRIGGERS.
Your name is Charles Martel. You and a group of soldiers were sent from England to the Arabian coast on a secret mission. However, but a few miles away from your destination your ship is attacked by a horde of Saracen renegades who feared another crusade. Fortunately your small ship somehow outruns the Saracen war machines, but your vessel is dreadfully damaged and about to sink. The place you were originally going to land therefore, is no longer an option.
You are forced to land about a mile away from your original destination. As the ship hits land, it collapses in to the Arabian waters, taking with it all your soldiers. As you crawl ashore you try to get your bearings, so you can somehow find Richard the Lionhearted, who is going to give you your secret mission directives.
All you have is a sword, and some food and gold you had with you. The land around you is a friendly place. However, with only a little gold and food, and the possibility that Richard will ask you to battle, means that you must find ways to make money to buy troops. |

Classic RPG scenario where you go around searching for things, talking with people and killing bad people. If you are a fan of RPG games you must download it.
It´s his first RPG scenario and he did a good job.I spend a good time playing it.
There are a couple of original things that i never saw before. My rewiew is 4/5. |

A fun and well-layed out RPG! The desert background was very well mapped, and there were times I did not know where I was going, which I guess is what being in the desert is really like. I loved the upping of armour/attack in some of the larger battles, and the looting body for gold thing. In terms of balance, I would like to have known of the unique scenario attributes, such as the armour/attack bonus and the gold for killing, at the start of the game. Also, as the gameplay is quite long, I might suggest being able to talk to people more than once in the scenario. That way, you won't forget anything before you get shut out of the city ;). All in all, great work, and keep making RPGs! |

What can I say??? i just finished the campaign about 5 minutes ago and im still awestruck! Never before have i seen such original ideas, like the horserace, the dodgy monk, and the town slut. This guy needs to be greatly comended. Plenty of eye-candy, and no "lazy random tree placement" just compliment the fabulous gameplay and story line. Its driving me nuts as to where this blasted key is though :)
I cant wait for a sequel.
If anyone knows of any other campaigns or scenarios by this guy, could you please email me? thanks. |

It is a good scenario but you have to spend some considerable time in the creation of new units that goes from one town to another in order to upgrade them, etc.
The thing that I liked at most was the horse race. Man! That thing really rocks!
Another important aspect of the game (this is for the author feedback) is that you need to place one unit on each town in order to produce more units quickly. If you don't have any unit on the town in order to produce an infantry unit (for example) it is impossible to just select the barracks and have it ready because of the fog. You can go to the market and change food for gold and viceversa but you can not produce units without having one of your units near the building. You know what I mean?
Well, the scnerario is OK and don't try to cheat with "Marco Polo". |
