This is my first map collection that I have made and they do not have too horribly much depth, but plz try 'em. The first couple are horrible (even I say that!) but the last couple are awesome! So play through and get a good reward!
Battles of The World is a 7 scenario campaign, that features battles over everything else. Fun to play but ridiculously easy for the player.
Balance was really poor, usually player had huge advantage over opponents, except the first scenario, where player had to drive enemies to his strong allies to defeat them.
This design lacked true creativity. All 7 scenarios were battles where your opponents just had to be slaughtered to the last. It is clear that this must be one of authors first creations, some fooling around with the editor.
Map Design: 2
Maps were designed poorly. In most of the scenarios there was no terrain mixing or in fact, proper use of terrain. elevation was used rarely. One or 2 scenarios were poorly redesigned random maps. Only 2 scenarios had nicely designed map. One of them featured nicely designed islands and sea around them, and the other a forest. Still too many drawback for a higher rating.
Instructions were written, yes, but the objectives were described poorly and scout/hint/history sections were usually blank. Only trough the use of same heroes in every scenario the author tried to show me some story.
Additional Comments: I don't think any complex triggerwork was made here. Anyway a lot could be improved with the slightest of extra work done. Author wrote, that neither of the scenarios is based on true historical events, but he could make up a story anyway. There was some incorporated in the 5th scenario. A player had to escort his king to the flagged area (this is a s far as I could understand, due to the lack of written objectives). There was a kind of a cutscene used in the sane campaign. In the history section it was written that a border incident happened and your scout was killed and the scenario began with a scout - man at arms fight.
This is a nice basic structure, but more map design and especially more creative features of the battles should be created.
