All Civs Wars is a FF, you play the Aztec side.
PLAYABILITY: Good things first, two of your allies give up at the games start, except fortified walls they have no units or buildings and as a result the scenario plays as a 2v4. Even with the bug, the player outnumbers the enemy, the scenario has no game play, and it is no fun at all. 1
BALANCE: The scenario is unbalanced, player one starts with 326 military units, a base with fortified walls, eight canon towers, eight watch towers and a second defence line of 9 castles, your surviving ally has about the same starting position. These forces confront four allied players with 72 military units, no base. 1
CREATIVITY: The author started some map design inside the base of player 1 and renamed a unit with increased HP but that does not qualify for creativity two yet. 1+
MAP DESIGN: The map is a classical 1.0, flat editor green grass with square walls and woodland inside the fortified walls. In addition, some broken road terrain and water in the player's base. 1
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: There are no messages, a blank pregame instruction screen, no objectives and no story. The scenario comes with a misleading title, original AoK has 13 and the conquerors expansion 18 civilisations, you would need three scenarios to show what the title promises. 1
OVERALL: Scenarios of this quality are a waste of time.
SUGGESTIONS: Play some higher rated scenarios, make your scenario challenging so the player can lose, try a story, give an objective and put more time and effort into your design. Do not give up; your second scenario Fort Briton improved already.
OBSERVATION: I am aware that this scenario will get an above average number of downloads, simply because people are interested in what qualifies for an overall one. I thought about rating map design with two for the broken road or creativity for renaming a unit just to avoid an overall one, but both categories even though I have seen worse are far from a 2.0 rating. On the other hand, balance and playability are as bad as it possibly can get.
IN CLOSING: The above is not a recommendation to download.[Edited on 05/22/09 @ 07:53 AM]
