Minas Tirith v2.0 for METC

This is a version of the Minas Tirith scenario for those ones who have already discovered the pleasures of the Middle Earth Total Conversion.
But what is the METC? It is a Mod Pack that converts all AOK:TC units, buildings and civilizations to the Lord of the Rings world: the Middle Earth. By Tundra Studios, this Mod Pack is really great, with very realistic graphics and is a must for all JRR Tolkien fans.

NOTE: if you don't have METC, download the original version of this scenario, 'cause in this one the civilizations and units will make no sense.

In this scenario, you'll command the troops of Mordor during the Battle for Minas Tirith, the White City of Gondor. The only way to submit all of Middle Earh is by destroying the Wonder at the highest level of the city. Fairly simple, isn't it? Well, it would be, if you didn't have only 1:30 hrs to do that.

I'd like to know if you guys can beat it on time...i can do it in 1:13hrs in hardest difficulty ;)

nathbert Why not put this scx file in with the other one, and specify which one is designed for use with METC and which one isn't (you could have different names for them). This is just clogging up the blacksmith pointlessly.

ill like to contact hem and tell hem that his mod is good but he/she needs to make a multi player version and he need to stick to more origanal game play, also who ever made this mod need to redo the orc raider, the flames, and the dwarfs buildings.

Map Design2.0
"LotR Minas Tirith as Mordor v2.0 - for METC" is a simplistic siege scenario intended for the METC mod, though i think i would prefer it without the mod to be honest.

Playability 2

The gameplay consists of B&D on a random map grade custom map with a siege assault up a cliff fortress maze of doom. Its somewhat annoying that the population limit is restricted to 150 when your playing as the orcs, and need a huge villager count on the side for economy. You will spend most of your time trying to navigate a tightly winding mountain path while mangonels and monks spread doom on your men.

Balance 3

There is enough resistance that the player is under pressure to fulfill the timer objectives, but really thats because he must navigate a winding cliff maze, and even on a userpatch install my units often went backwards not forwards trying to traverse this. The main obstacle to winning are cliffs;the AI puts up a fairly feeble resistance and you have many resources available.

Creativity 2

Its a decent beginning attempt with some events and some good amount of writing for the objectives, but its really simple and relies mostly on the games B&D mechanics to carry the day. Mostly you will see some timed attack waves when you near some objectives, but they just spam out some units en masse that hadnt had alot of thought put into how they would effect the battle;these units are unupgraded and get wiped out effortlessly.

Map Design 2

Although there is some gaia objects added and at one point it looked like an acceptable forest, the vast majority of the map was on par with a random map, with huge expanses of unbroken, simple terrain.

Story\Objectives 3

There is a good amount of objectives, hints, and a scouts report similar to what you would expect out of a normal scenario. I suppose this conveys some story elements, but to be honest i didnt read them;the METC background the mod author choose for these tabs is so terrible i can barely read the text without damaging my eyes. What were they thinking?

Final thoughts:Its a simple scenario for an old modpack. Try it out at your own peril.
