"Tamerlane moved like a whirlwind through Asia, commanding both fear and awe throughout the world. Rising to power in 1369 on the ruins of the Mongol Empire, his great armies criss-crossed Asia from Delhi to Moscow, conquering and re-conquering, razing some cities, sparing others. His activity was relentless and unending. His fame spread quickly to Europe, where he remained for centuries a figure of romance and horror."
"Tamerlane, Prince of Destruction" is a seven-scenario campaign about Tamerlane, the last of the great nomad conquerors. In this campaign you must lead Tamerlane as he rises from the chief of a small Mongol tribe to the conqueror of the Middle East.
FEATURES:
- Six playable scenarios
- One cut-scene scenario
- Seven soundtracks
- Fun yet historically accurate gameplay
- Battle scenes that don't lag
- Supports all difficulty levels
- Game style is a combination of role-playing, fixed-force, and build-and-destroy.
This campaign also includes an 8.3Mb Music Pack (This is the same music pack that is used in the AoK version of this campaign. If you have already downloaded it, you do not need to download it again). It is not required, but please download it if you have a fast connection. This campaign includes music from the following albums:
"Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears
"BraveHeart" soundtrack
"Caravan" by Kronos Quartet
"The Edge" by Gnomusy
"Gladiator" soundtrack
"Music of the Crusades" by The Early Music Consort of London
This music is for sampling use only. Please do not copy it or circulate it among your friends. If you really like the music, go out and buy the CDs. All of these CDs are great, except maybe one of them ;-)

I know its been 11 years for this great submission but, im playing it now lol and if you're still around (the author)ive found a bug where the game would crashes everytime i meet the thief in Delhi who steals 1 gold coin. I had to stay away from him to continue the game. Anyway, awesome campaign mate! I'm really enjoying it. |

Tamerlane is one of the greatest scenarios ever made around here, it has got a very good history and plot and many funny and unexpected events, as like the betrayal of the champion, the flew of the Khan, the Britney Spears song (there I laughed very much), the thieve of the Delhi, the system of buying slaves (was very innovative), the capture of the turkish lake and many others.
To Operation X:
I have met this problem a lot time ago but I came through it with a very easy way. You have (if you want of course) to go from the rear to the thieve, not from the top (because the game will crush, because of an unknown bug). In mine computer it works with these way.

Why can't I extract the file anymore??? I really want to play this mission but I can't get it right. Someone please put a more precise guide here? (And before you ask, I did read the guide in the file) I want to know where all the files belong, so I can do it manually. |

To play the custom campaigns in AoFE, you have to place them in Age of Empires II\Games\Forgotten Empires\Scenario(not in the campaign's folder). |

I remember playing this 6-7 years ago and got stuck in the last mission because it was too difficult for me back then. Here I downloaded it again, played all missions on Hard and beat it easily. :D
I can't believe this scenario is from 2000. Best regards to the scenario maker for such a great campaign. This is an excellent campaign that's worth your time. Highly recommended![Edited on 02/28/17 @ 05:43 PM]

Hello everyone. I'm new here on aokheaven. I'm trying to play new campaigns on my AoE2HD but I can't manage it. I've got a Macbook pro with High Sierra and I really don't know how to add new campaigns on the game. Actually i'm using wineskin winery to play the game on my mac.
Anyone could please help me? :)
