KING OF TOWERS VII - MYSTIC OASIS: The 7th episode of the KING OF TOWERS series. Place your king in any of the towers and get a flow of units at the single pole flag. If you lose your castle, you lose!
Before I begin, I must say that this is my first shot at reviewing a multi-player scenario so I am not quite sure if I gave a fair mark. If that's the case, then please feel free to re-review.
The playability was very difficult to judge, as I hardly ever plays multi-player over the internet because of the lag. But I found this to be similar to "Zealot Farm" in Starcraft and since I hated that, I gave a low mark here. Basically you get unlimited units and you must destroy the enemy base, which is close to impossible and will make the game very laggy, as I found in Starcraft.
The balance should presumably perfect, since everybody can make the same units at the same rate. But again this is only an assumption, so I am not my usual sure-self this time.
The creativity wasn'y bad. The author used the idea where you get different unit as you garrison your king in different towers, which isn't what I would expect to see very often. But other than that, the stuff are pretty average.
The map design was poor. The map is a huge lake with 8 islands with towers on it and some islands with castles surrounding a tower and some walkable water, which definitely does not strike me as special.
This area is pretty poor. There was no story, as you just kill, kill, and kill. But instructions were ample. The three is for the fact that a map with full instructions but no story gets a 3.
-Frustrating to play
-Probably gonna be laggy
-Poor map design
-lacking in a story
Final thoughts: The map is reasonably well made for multi-player, since this is a relatively new concept in PC games and very tough to do good in. So if you have LAN connections this scenario is good.
