Ogier the Dane chapter 2

Author File Description
File Details
Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Style: Mix
Number of scenarios: 6
This campaign is split in two because of the blacksmiths 2 mb limit, I would reccomend that you download both chapters before playing the campaign, some sounds and the bmp for chapter 1 is located in chapter 2 because of the 2 mb limit.

The two chapters are fully playable separate though, but the best experience will come from downloading both chapters together.

Ogier the Dane chapter 2

This is the revised story of the danish vikingson who became a paladin
and served Charlemagne throughout his reign.

Ogier the dane was the son of the danish king Götric, Ogier was given to Charlemagne as assurance of danish promises to keep the peace, when the king broke the promise Charlemagne was obliged to have the young man hanged, but had a change of heart and entrusted him to lord Roland.

Ogier became a frankish knight and took part in all of Charlemagnes major campaigns to christien the european barbarians, and enlarge the empire.

The sources on which I built this campaign are :

The song about roland

Frankish yearbooks

Cronicles by ansgar and saxo

Popular writings

More focus has been put on playability than historical correctness,
for example his whole lovelife has been left out as it would have
made the campaign double in size.

This campaign includes:

20 custom sounds
custom soundtrack
custom bmp
12 scenarios

Hope you will enjoy it!!!

islandweed nothing new but still fun to play
Randy Woah!! The size of these campaigns just makes me want to DL them and play 'em. I'll make sure to post a comment after I play these in a little while!
islandweed Just to let people know, I belive its 8 playable and 4 cut scenes(hope right spelling).

Randy Well, first thing to say, this campaign and the first one was pretty good!! Second thing, why did you put in some Media stuff?!?! I checked over the files in it, and I had most of them in my sounds I just deleted the whole Media folder, knowing that it was useless. Anyways, download this campaign and the first one!! They're both pretty fun to play and it took me like 3 or 4 hours(I do the defensive strategy in those B&Ds with computers) to play through all of them.

If you deleted all the mp3 files you did not get the best experience since I made a special soundtrack for the campaign and other mp3's were homemade also, so I will have to say that you did your self a bad favor IF infact you deleted all the mp3 files as I understood.
Map Design4.0
This was the second chapter of Ogier the Dane.Again, there were 6 parts with too many cut scenes.I played the playable parts on hard and easily won.Having finished the first chapter, the story kept enough interest for me to finish,

The campaign had about the same balance as chapter one.It was a role playing campaign with a build and destroy aspect.

As with the first part, there was alot of cut-scenes,triggers and good map design.Again i felt the cut-scenes could have been used less and had more content.

Map Design:
There were several different maps, with good use of elevation, terrain and plenty of eye candy.

I felt the story was the best part of the campaign. There was always plenty of clear, easy to follow instructions and hints.

In closing i would recommend downloading this campaign. There are 12 parts to this 2 chapter campaign with alot of interesting cut-scenes and triggers.
