This scenario is a blood type multi-player scenario that automatically spawns the Unique Unit of the civ you are playing as. It supports up to 8 players and the game is quite short meaning a fast, furious and fun game is had.
As per usual in blood games, obtaining kills will upgrade your spawning units. The upgrades are basically the Elite tech and Blacksmith Upgrades, as well as Age upgrades to take advantage of Civilisation bonuses.
However the main difference is that you will get stone for kills. Stone can be used in many different ways.
You can buy units such as Siege Rams, Saboteurs and a replacement Fusion Bow
You can Bomb the middle of the arena with your Cannon
You can activate a flaming defence wall to keep your enemies out
You can buy improvements for your existing troops
The game is best played with 8 players, no teams or random teams, and random civs.
Of course some civilisations are better than others, but this adds the element of luck to the need for skill to the game, although sometimes you will just not be able to win.
Playability:4 The playability of this scenario was good! I played it about 5 times, and it never got old. It was a lot of fun, and was a great replacement for the average zoner's castle blood. It never really lagged bad, and I never ran into any trigger bugs.
Balance:2 The balance of this scenario was unhelpable by any scenario that spawns unique units. It didn't recieve a 1 for 2 reasons;
1)no matter how bad your civ was, you at least stood a fighting chance. There is no invincable player, although a teutons vs celts is pretty predictable...
2)No player had more or less spells than any other player,
creativity: 4 This was a pretty creative scenario. It took the basic castle blood, and twisted it into a 20 minute long, magic battle! I also liked the idea of spells, it added a kind of unique feel.
map design: The map design on this scenario was nothing special. it was a basic blood map design with a power up elevation in the middle. It wasn't very unique, but it definitly got the job done.
Story / Instructions:3 There was no story (ok for a blood), and the instruction just told the basic put-a-guy-on-the-flag-kings-cast-spells kind of instructions. Only once was anyone confused, and that was because the firewall spell would never end for him until he ran out of stone...lol...u will know the joke when u download it...
overall:3.6 a good blood map that is definitly worth playing a couple times, I highly recommend "Warfare" by TheCampeador to anyone who is looking for the newest blood to play online.
