Icy Gold is a multiplayer scenario in which the objective is to be the first to get 10000 gold. The scenario is lacking in gameplay, and a bug makes this game play on hard no matter what difficulty you choose.
The scenario is very boring, as all you really can do is scout and mine gold. There is a limited ability to go out and fight, but all of the map is ice except the players' small towns. Simply collecting relics and mining isn't fun. The author added a difficulty level trigger, but there's a bug, and it fires no matter what level you're playing on, giving everyone a time limit to get your gold.
Suggestions: Make more room to build buildings, and add more resources to make this a battlefield. As it stands, there's nothing to do but make a few militia and try to disrupt enemy mining. Fix the bug too, as Difficulty Level: Hard will activate on all levels hard AND BELOW.
There is a large gold mine to the west, which both Blue and Red can fight over, but Green has to traverse the whole map to get there. In addition, Green has no monks, and since there is no way to create more, Green can't collect relics, further handicapping him. Also, Blue has a significantly larger town than Red and Green, meaning he can actually build a few military buildings. He also starts off with an extra villager.
Suggestions: Make it more fair to Green, and give both Green and Red some room so they can compete with Blue.
I like the idea of having an economic objective, but it gets boring. No other signs of any thought, and nothing new.
Suggestions: I have suggestions for Creativity. This is up to the author.
Some attempt at Instructions and Hints. I'll be lenient and give him a 2.
Overall: Gameplay is boring, and there really is nothing to do. It is obvious the author did noit spend much time on this project, and I cannot recommend it.
