This scenario is unplayable. Having, guess, over 10000 units it is no wonder it crashes instantly when started. |

Playability: 2
Playing a World Map can be quite fascinating, but this map consists of too much number of units and buildings, confusing at first, complicated afterwards. Not to mention the game crashes in some occasions (e.g. when playing on low-performance PCs or laptops).
There is variety of units i can handle, which i liked, not to mention the several tactics i can use to attack or defend. However, there's not much to do due to natural obstacles or the outnumbered buildings i occupy.
In addition: If many enemies attack me at the same time, from any direction,i can do almost nothing but just letting my army kill randomly.
Balance: 1
Maps like this one must be balanced at some point,an aspect at which yours is lacking: Some civilizations (like the British in Australia) are weak to defend themselves, while others (like the Aztecs) can not attack, because they lack navy. Some (like the Africans) have too much army, whereas others can not even make sneak attacks (like those being in peninsulas.Well... this drops the interest a lot.
Creativity: 2
It's difficult to make big maps containing suitable environments and emphasizing each places' special characteristics. This map, however,is extravagant at some points.
E.g. champions for Aztecs? Too many European archers in Arctica?
There are many buildings all over the map,but many of them should just be removed, two reasons for that: 1st,difficulty to move. 2nd,they do not suit the place e.g. buildings that create military being next to walls.
In general, the idea is nice, but the way it's been presented is complicated.
Map Design: 2
I'll refer to the map's environment: It's really nice and suitable. Ices and snows in Arctica and Antarctica, many jungle trees in South America, the deserted Africa, many of the world's islands are here,... the map is trully a World Map. Combined with the overcrowded civilizations and some strangely-made areas, though, drop the rating down,as they hide the entire picture of the map and show a less friendly and enjoyable environment.
Story/Instructions: 3
It's good that there is information about each civilization's strong and weak points.Hints are not necessary here, because the game's purpose is too obvious.Still, not much help for someone newbie or non-experienced.
Additional Comments:
This map would fit more like a non-playable scenario, presenting the picture of the entire world, rather than being a tiring and complicated multiplayer game.
Something more: If you wish to continue making maps, you should consider if the map you make is suitable to be played or if you want to show something (whatever it may be). |
