The Conquerors 1.0c |
For the new version these things where done (apart of many, many other little modifications):
-bugfixing
-improved strategy
-improved performance
-improved rushes
-new attack type
-new strategy for the Aztecs and Mayans -> The Eagle-warrior rush (just play a 1v1 on a tiny map and if you have luck your enemy duke will choose this strategy ;) )
-many, many more things
I hope you all enjoy! If you want to post feedback, bugreport or any other comment please the dgdn-forums: http://dgdn.net |

Pretty Sweet ai. seems a tad more aggressive than previous versions of the duke. Excellent counters and balanced, perhaps, too much so, forces.Have'nt played with it yet as ally. hope ot is'nt as annoying about beeging for resources in castle age as earlier versions. Can't deal with custom maps, which is a pity, hint, hint! |

Hey DarkAngelBGE, I keep getting this error message when I use your duke ai versions. it goes like this: Error script AI File The Duke-AI Version 1.6 - main files/the Duke constants per. ERR 5001 File open failed.
Do i have to download something to use this? Well, I hope you can solve this problem. |

OMG I've seen so many people have this same problem and its got nothing to do with the Ai, when you unzip it yo shoudl unzip it to the AI folder, it then automatically makes folders for its files etc, he is smart and uses the Effective Zipping thing |

See next time, can you make the ".ai" and ".per" just be "The duke" insted of "The duke-ai version ******"? |

Sorry, no. This is tradition ;) if somebody wants to test different duke-ai versions out at the same time, he cannot do this if all .per and .ai files are called just "The Duke"...sorry. |

Great AI, but there's 3 things I'd like to see added/changed.
Sometimes it'll forget to research certain advancements for units it uses frequently, such as elite skirmishers or crossbowmen/arbelests. One time I had a game with it for 4 solid hours and it never upgraded its archers, but still used them fairly frequently.
Most civs don't train nearly as many unique units as it should to make them really effective, or train units that would be effective against situations its presented with. Last game I played, the AI continued to train Skirmishers while rams attacked its base continuously. Had it trained infantry or cavalry, the damage it would've taken would've been considerably less.
The option to request a small army from an allied AI to assist in base defence while under attack would be a nice feature. |
