My first AI ever is a mental prison escapee. Gotta love the name and the way it fits in sentances. Ir doesn't flush or anything, it does strange things, builds all its houses in the dark age and ends up with a monk addiction. Also doesnt like maps where naval battle is key or ones with NO BERRY BUSHES! I think you will like it.
Now here is an AI that needs a lot of work. A Mental Prison Escapee (MPE) can be defeated easily -- even though it cheats. Odd, but it never even seems to advance to the feudal age. It cheats to gain resources dramatically -- only a few minutes into the game it's score was already six times higher then mine -- but makes poor use of those extra resources. If an AI cheats, it should at least get a lot of leverage off it, but that isn't the case here. At around the 14:00 mark, it builds a single barracks, and begins creating militia and streaming them into your base. It blindly attacks your town center, and you can just slice it to death with town center fire. You can win against it by just fast-castling, and crushing it with knights. It never advances in age, and never does anything except make militia and cheat for resources. Granted, a newbie player could be beaten by the attack of militia, but it poses no challenge whatsoever to an intermediate player. On the brighter side, it does have a bit of wit, and will send you various comical chat messages, such as cow_gone_mad's immortal quote "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" But this is a poor tradeoff for the low quality of the AI itself.
