A useful and well-tested AI that becomes steadily weaker as the game goes on. In the time I tested it (Fortress + Chinese) I was able to beat it after an hour. The second time, it took me an hour and a half. On regecide, it is stronger still. Upon reaching castle, it expands aggressively, and sooner or later you can expect to see a forward castle. It never made knights in the time I played it, which is a flaw as they are the most useful units you get in early castle. It mostly make spears, and once the castle is up, cho ko nus. Both of these units have depressingly easy counters...skirmishers.
I think there may be some bug in regard to going to imperial. Both times I played it, it never went to imperial, even when it had a strong economy and could well have afforded it. Testing it against other AIs yielded the same results: two hours went past and it stayed in castle. I also don't think using forward castles is such a good idea against human players, since even attacking the building villager with one unit will cause it to delete the castle and waste some resources.
A good AI, one of the few that handles regecide well, and recommended for inexperienced to moderate players.
