GreekBoy I thought it was OK. The thought you put into it and history was the best. But it was too easy...the enemy had 461 vs your 216, but your army soooo much more powerful. I know historically that's true but 2/3's of his army was Militia and Men-at-Arms, the other third was Huskarls, which gave me the worst trouble in the fact that they killed some of my archers. But another thing, what was the Cataphract's prupose to sit there. I put'em to work. I used them to kill all of the Goth's army on the East. Hence, securing the way Maximus is to go.

BOTTOM LINE: great story line...way too easy!!!

Not to be rude or anything......but, didn't you pay attention to the movie?
King Billy 3rd No offence SirWalker!

But you shouldn't believe everything u see in a movie! In movies, things are added to make it look better!

Sure only 1 in 7 or 1 in 10, (not sure which) of Roman Legionnaries where Italian! The rest where from around the Empire!

And the son of Marcus' son (the young boy, son of bad guy) was actually Marcus' son, the one (the evil guy)that was Emperor throughout the main part of the movie was actually his grandchild! So u can't believe all u see!

Also the years that Marcus was alive in where also false in the movie! Didn't live long enough in movie!

It is with great regret that I have to proclaim “The Defeat of Germania” the worst campaign that I have ever downloaded here at AOK Heaven. This campaign was just extremely poor and I advice everyone to keep clear.

I don’t think there is a word to describe the playability of this campaign. The whole concept in this campaign has gone wrong. As a result, we find ourselves with a game boring beyond comprehension. I have to say that killing over 200 militia with cataphract wasn’t fun, and it was a very sad experience.

The balance is totally wrong. In AoK TC we all know the power of cataphract versus infantry. However, fighting with cataphract against militia is horrible thing to do. I don’t see how anyone can die in this game. In fact, I think we could easily win without even looking at the computer screen. Now, putting more challenging units or simply upgrading the enemies units could have easily fixed the balance.

The creativity in this game is virtually non existent. This games reminded me a bit of the tutorial from ES because of the first task. Follow the pretty flags and yeah mission accomplished. Now, go kill millions of innocent units and victory shall be yours. I’m sorry guys, but I simply do not see any creativity here.

The map design is anything but pretty. In fact, the map design was poorly made, but nonetheless it is still better than a random blank map by all means.

The storyline isn’t developed at all. Kill the evil German tribes and so on…
The instructions were virtually non existent and weren’t all that helpful.

In the end, this is a good example of a mediocre campaign. Virtually everything here has gone wrong so take my advice and stay far away from this one.
