Egypt is a totally unique map for its one trait (and that one only): having groups of 2-3 GAIA pyramids scattered across the map! These can be captured by your units to make PERMANENT OUTOSTS! Now aint that neato!
Usually there a pyramid group right in your base: something to disturb the movement of your villies, and help defend (or help flush maybe?). The map itself is desert, with the waters (hopefully) resembling part of the Nile delta but its more like a mediterranean)... so I wasnt too good with making the water...
So, this gives for some varied startups too! Scout nearby for resorces? Scout deep to find pyrmids that are in good position?
Find one pyramid near a town with your scout, and it will claim others for you and light up his whole town. Don't need spies, and the best part is that when the computer creates a mangonel, it bangs away at the nearest pyramid and ignores your troops outside his wall.
