Gather your allies and head towards the North Pole in search of the legendary Santa Claus and his Workshop.
This is an arctic map with no berries and lots of deer. Other resources are pretty standard. However, there is usually one random resource that is plentiful. I say "usually" because sometimes wolves are plentiful instead!
There is enough water on the map to make naval combat a possibility but not enough to make it a requirement. Fishing is available as well.
The map has a lot of choke points and tends to be more of a defensive map. It is possible (though unlikely in my tests) for players to end up isolated or on an island by themselves. This usually happens with uneven teams.
Near the center of the map, you will find Santa's Workshop and Santa Claus himself! He is accompanied by 8 (rein)deer and has lots of toys and gifts (2-4 relics, gold, stone, berries). You will know you are near when you see palm trees (in the snow -- Santa likes the tropical setting). Note that although there are extra resources in the center of the map, this map is not like Gold Rush; there aren't that many extra resources -- just enough to give somebody a boost. The palm trees are spread out all over this area making building difficult as well.
CPU players do fairly well on this map. Although they cannot convert the units at the North Pole they can get the resources and relics. The units are mostly for atmosphere and aren't really useful anyway. The one problem I have found with the CPU players is that they do not build docks for some reason. This gives human players an advantage if the CPU players are near the water.
All players start with an outpost.
