This is the third and final version of a map that is becoming quite popular among my friends. All of the changes in this version are changes that dudes that I play against asked for...so Dave, Bryan, Steve, et. al. hope you\'re happy!! First of all, we\'ve spent lots of time testing this...and I will openly admit that tiny map size games run a risk of not painting the center island, or making it very small. To be honest, we have seen it once or twice even in medium size maps. I\'ve toyed with the fix but there is really nothing I can do about this without making the island a static size, which I refuse to do. I am content that on rare occasions on smaller size maps there may be no island. I just chalk it up to the wonderful randomness of this new version! Besides, this map is intended for 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 games on larger size maps. Bottom line: 1v1 play at least small map size.
Now to the good stuff:
This map now is randomly either an ALPINE_MAP, TROPICAL_MAP, a FROZEN_MAP, or a DESERT_MAP. There is still a center island full of \'treasure\'...but the type of map that is randomly generated is not only different in terrain per map type, but also has different object counts, for example more trees on ALPINE, a frozen lake and no fish on a FROZEN_MAP, more food on TROPICAL, less trees on DESERT, etc.
Unless someone points out a glaringly obvious shortcoming to this map, this is the final update so long live Treasure Island!
