These 2 maps are based on same concept: every player starts with his villagers scattered on different isles, separated by water, and can choose to develop more bases on more isles since the beginning of game.
(normally the map generator doesn\'t allow to place starting units overseas, but I discovered a trick to make it work: creating fake connections, made of water, between lands. See the rms\'s for more details)
- Both maps are Nomad-like, so you better START WITH MEDIUM OR HIGH RESOURCES, because you have to build your town center.
- Regicide is an extra challenge, because also the king is scattered and alone!
- Starting at Castle age may be interesting because it allows to build immediately more town centers on more isles.
Map: OVERSEAS NOMAD
Your villagers are scattered on an unknown number of big separated isles (3 to 5).
Environment is randomly chosen each game and SIX types are supported: europe, asia, desert, snow, jungle or ruins.
Computer players CAN play on this map, but they usually build only on one isle.
Five separated continents yield one type of resource each, and only that one. One continent for food (except for fish), one for wood, one for gold, one for stone, one for relics (and kings if playing regicide!). Each continent has a different climate, too.
You start with many villagers scattered on all the continents. Which are the most important resources in the various phases of the game? Try to rule as many continents as possible!
Standard computer players CAN\'T play well on this map, it\'s for multiplayer only.
