Welcome to a world of danger, almost in the hand of the Dark One. Beware of strange creatures known as Trollocs, and also be wary of the powerful Myrddraal. But these are not the only dangers. Pirates raid along the coast line and must be stopped.

Finally, a Wheel of Time scenario! I'm thinking of making one after I've finished my other projects, too. Downloading NOW.
This map is pretty good.He has got some good effects with it.Overall it is a good gameplay and should be downloaded by everybody.By the Way,i am makin a Rpg Single Player Campaign caled Foxtrots Revenge. If you liked this you will looooooooooooooooooooooove my map.lol.
I downloaded Sarev's tale because I have enjoyed many other scenarios by Talon Karrde, but this one was quite disappointing compared to them. I hope a new version comes out soon so I won't have to say that.
For starters, this had many obvious trigger looping problems. Towards the begining, a lumber merchant asks you to kill two bad guys by his lumber camp saying he'll pay you. This is where it starts to go wrong. You kill the bad guys and go back to him. Unfortunatly, the trigger looping stuck so he pays you fifty gold ENLESSLY until you deselect him. If you need gold, just talk to him again. Then if you enter the market, an artifact salesmen asks you if you want to buy an axe with the power of twenty attack. That trigger ALSO loops so I got Sarev's attack up to 13+49 until I stopped. If those were fixed, It would be much more interesting to play because you WOULDN'T have unlimited gold and attack. After the first town it got better it got better, but it still had smaller bugs elsewhere.
The balance also leaves quite a bit to be desired. Besides one part where they got a hero unit, 'The Dark One' only uses two handed swordsmen with no exception. There need to be more enemy units to make it more fun. Later on, you are asked to do a mission to kill some pirates. How, using only the galleys you are given, destroy a limetless amount of galleons?! Also, if Sarev dies on a transport ship, it is not recognized as him dying.
It's creative, but it just needs more stuff. You can enter buildings, but though it is bragged about by the author, only three can actually be entered. You can buy new weapons, but you can also buy limitless amounts with your enless gold, which kind of defeats the perpose. The triggers, aren't very complicated and anyone who knows an average amount about triggers, myself included, can figure out how they're done without much thinking.
The map is good in most places, like the forests, but the cities are VERY cluttered with one square wide roads only one person can move on at a time. They are also WAY too small. I don't have mch more comment besides that the forests and rivers are good, the towns, well... sota suck. It has some eye-candy but what it has is poor looking at best.
The story on this scenario is well written and starts the plot moving well. The instuctions in the hints section are also well written. The bitmap is nice and not very cluttered like some of his others.
My final word is that if you don't cheat, even when it's easy, than you should download this. If not, don't. That's all I have to say about that.
