All Roads Lead To Rome Mod

The first and original Rome mod that's been in the making Since the Fall of 2000 (with many long breaks along the way). It's the longest project for AOK ever to be completed, the biggest AOK mod ever, has the most changes ever, and is the first modpack to add entirely "new" units. This modpack is a total conversion of the North European Building Set into a new Greco-Roman Building Set. It replaces the Viking set with a Roman one and the Tueton set with a Greek one. The modpack replaces some sounds, such as the Lion and the Priest. The modpack also includes a language.dll and a language_x1.dll that changes the names of units, and includes an empires2_x1.dat and an empires2_x1_p1.dat that adds extra Eye Candy to the "Roman Ruins". You can install these files using the "ARLTR Extra Files Installer" and you can uninstall these files using the "ARLTR Extra Files Uninstaller". The Installer will create an extra folder called "ARLTRBackup"; please do NOT remove any files in that folder because the Uninstaller will use these to restore you original settings (Otherwise you have to reinstall Age of Kings.).

Please unzip the "All Roads Lead to Rome Mod.zip" to your Age of Empires II folder. All files will then unzip to their proper directories.

THIS IS THE BEST MOD I HAVE SEEN IN MY TIME OF AOKH FORUMING! I liked how you changed the Bersek to a Legionare, but I think, if I had the time, I could change all the regular units (ex. Champion, Pikeman) to their "equivalent" in AOE. What I didn't like was that you replaced the Advanced Heavy Crossbowman with the Scythe Chariot. Sure, it'll have range, but it will go sooooooo slowly. Anyway, my mod. I can change the following: (I'll include just a few, since the list is so massive)

Civs:
Saracens-Egyptians
Celts-Goths?
Britons-Britons (new)

Units:
Militia-Axeman
Man-at-arms-Short Swordsman
Mameluke-Camel Chariot
Woad Raider-Huskarl

Technologies:
Masonry-Masons

And much much more.

I'd give this a 10 if I could, had it for a while, but had to uninstall AOK to make room for AOM (which doesn't even work!!!)
icewyvern Hey, don't be dissing Swamps and Mud.
Lord_Kitchener I have a couple of questions:

Does the "ATRL (Or whatever it is) installer/uninstaller" install/uninstall the whole MOD?

If not, will the files be in a certain folder, so I can easily delete them if I get bored of the MOD?
Lord_Kitchener I downloaded it, unzipped it to the right folder but nothing had changed. I installed the extra files aswell.
Paperback_Writer I have the same problem as Kitchener: I installed the mod, everything seems to be in place, but nothing has changed. nothing at all. Please help me out here.
Render dark_blade your Review was totally unfair:

Rating: 3.0

Some of this is quite good. I like the castle and castle age+ buildings, but the stone mine + lumberjack camp aren't as good.
I was expecting better from a two or three year long project, but I have to say that i was dissappointed after waiting 40 mins for download.
Units are good, but you could have changed the unit and civ names.

"you could have changed the unit and civ names."

We did! clearly you didnt run the extra files installer.

You have to remember that rome overed a hugely wide area and with in Rome there were many different building styles the stone buildings represent primitive or poor areas of the roman empire and the imperial are ones represtent the grand cities of rome.

If you can't install the mod right then dont give us such a poor rating.
All Roads Lead To Rome is by far "The" best mod made for AOK.
I think this rating should be removed!
C J This is the best mod I have ever seen. Though I do have one problem. I can't get the "ARLTR Extra Files Install" to install successfully,it comes up with things like 'FIlE NOT FOUND= "blah blah". What might I be doing wrong?
Render CJ, its possiable you have unzipped the files to the wrong folder make sure you extract them all to your aok directory and from there the files should unzip into the correct place, then run the extra files installer. Also you must have the expantion pack to properly use the mod.
_4xeno I like most of the mod but a few things are kind of annoying. The terrain,I think, should have been left alone. The medium water is annyoing because of all the white and the leaves dont blend in as well now.I love all of the feudal buildings, the treb, fortified wall and port. The only units that I dont like is the longboat replacement and the ruin statues. The boat is kind of grainy and the statue is blurry. If I were reviewing this,I would give it a 5.0 overall.
ChrisJBA Whats a TWAL?
Whats an Advanced Heavy Crosbowmen?
Whats a Heavy Swordsmen?
