All Roads Lead To Rome Mod



The first and original Rome mod that's been in the making Since the Fall of 2000 (with many long breaks along the way). It's the longest project for AOK ever to be completed, the biggest AOK mod ever, has the most changes ever, and is the first modpack to add entirely "new" units. This modpack is a total conversion of the North European Building Set into a new Greco-Roman Building Set. It replaces the Viking set with a Roman one and the Tueton set with a Greek one. The modpack replaces some sounds, such as the Lion and the Priest. The modpack also includes a language.dll and a language_x1.dll that changes the names of units, and includes an empires2_x1.dat and an empires2_x1_p1.dat that adds extra Eye Candy to the "Roman Ruins". You can install these files using the "ARLTR Extra Files Installer" and you can uninstall these files using the "ARLTR Extra Files Uninstaller". The Installer will create an extra folder called "ARLTRBackup"; please do NOT remove any files in that folder because the Uninstaller will use these to restore you original settings (Otherwise you have to reinstall Age of Kings.).

Please unzip the "All Roads Lead to Rome Mod.zip" to your Age of Empires II folder. All files will then unzip to their proper directories.

ZBrisk I have to say this is the best mod ever. The only thing that I didn't like was how the Romans got the trireme, and not the Greeks. But hey, I can't blame you for it, since the other UUs work better anyway.

I'm a little confused on how you put in those beta units like the aquaducts(?) and the heavy swordsmen. I mean, sure we can use map copy for it, but how did you get it in there in the first place?

Imaidiot Ok sorry if im an idiot but i unzipped the files in the Aok like i was suppose to then used the installer and everything installed fine but it only changed the names not the artwork..i have no clue to how to do this stuff so if there is something ineed or anything and u have time to help an idiot like me, pls email me thx
Imaidiot Nvm, after thinking for a good few minutes i figured out it was my mod pack and I reinstalled my mod and now it works fine...you guys do an amazing job...my mouth hit the floor and stayed there.

Emperor_Julian BEST MODPACK EVER INVENTED IN THE HISTORY OF MODPACKING!!!

I badly wanted a Rome/Greece Modpack for the Alexander the Great campaign I'm creating at first I downloaded Wildfire Studios "Rome at War" but it crashed my computer so I downloaded "All Roads Lead to Rome" and it was amazing:
You get chariots, Legions and the best building set ever!
Although this mod was great I think they could have done the Hoplitess, Light Cavalry, and Archery Range better.

Caeser89 i got the icons and the unit changes but the ARLTR extra file installer would come on with a "file not found" message for all the .dll and .dat files but i expanded the mod into my AOK folder, so whats wrong?
Schmittieus How do you use twal? i dont know how to make it so i cant have an aqueduct
