If you keep asking for comments it isn't very likely you will get anyway. Write a decent description, too. What does it include? And have you given credit to the creators of other eye-candys which you might have included? (If you included my AEG, which I made, you should give me credit). But I'm downloading right now... |

Cool it yuri, or I'll have you reported to an Angel and they'll shut you up for good.
Do not abuse the comment system, if you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all. |

Okay, guys y'all need to quiet down. I will say this: Of all the eye candy mods I've ever dl'ed, and I thing I got em all, I cannot find anything that looks like it has been built with the effort that goes into making a real map for a real campaign. I know, I've played Counter attack, and some others by the "kids", and I just don't see the same skill here. I should commend Cheezy monkey for his GIANT, ALL INCLUSIVE eye candy map/ template that I use a lot, and another is Enrique Orduno (sp?) Other than that, I have deleted most every other template that I got. I sure as heck aint the best, but I do know good when I see it. And most of the stuff here dosent look like it was built with the effort that I'd thing would go into a cpn. Things shouldn't be rated here, bette suited would be a pass / fail, download or not. And the results are in. the average of pass- fail is low.
I am not trying to upset aanybody in particular, and please don't ask me to show you something better. I'm just trying to sober y'all up.
thank you. |

Eye candy maps are only ment to demonstrate posible tricks you could use (along with creativity and imaginatio) to make some pretty neat looking stuff in campaigns.
I however think that the ultimate eye candy map would be Rodrigo's "Minas Dragon" pretty town map that was submited to the corresponding contest a long time ago.
[note on my eye candy template] Originally, I wanted to make a utility that groups together every Beta and "strange object" unit into one map for quick referance, I couldn't do that since I'd just be ripping off EO and Rasher's stuff, so to add a little originality, I stuffed it with as mutch stuff I could think of (I could make a V2 if enough people want me to)
Thanks for downloading it, I kinda felt I had to make something noticable, since I hadn't made anything in a long time, but I didn't have enough time back then to design any major project, so I just put forth my eye candy knowledge and prowess into a map, and I've alays thought of myself as a rookie designer or someone who has what it takes but has never really done anything, and you don't know how nice it feels to have someone say "hey, thats some cool cheese ya got there".
This eye candy template is actually quite good, The Pyramid trick is new, I didn't know it :) |
