About this Utility-- This utility is used for teaching someone (who plans on doing a campaign/scenario) about how to mount a foot soldier onto a horse.

Utility: The usefulness of this could vary on what kind of scenario you are making. It would work very well in an RPG (such as a knight leaves his home and mounts on his horse) or in many other kinds, such as a Fixed Force scenario. You have a selection of units that can be mounted, and it is interesting to see what they will become when you mount that certain unit on a horse. I found that there is not much game playing action, but only display instructions that tell you what to do at the beggining. If you bring a unit (1 of 4 units) close to a horse, it turns into a mounted unit. That is pretty much all you can do with it.

Creativity: This utility meets its main objective of showing people how to mount a horse, but unfortunatly does not show the trigger combo until you exit out and look at them yourself. This scenario is unique in different ways, such as when you bring a unit to a horse, you have no idea what unit it will turn in to. Like when you bring a samurai to a horse, you think, "I wonder what the creator will show this unit as?". Then when you see the unit, you think either, "Hahaha... that unit does not look like a samurai." or "Wow! That would make the perfect unit for the Samurai on horse!". I am not sure if this is the first utility of its kind (because this trick might be contained inside another utility), but it is the first utility of its kind that I downloaded. I found it useful for any campaign.

Quality: This tutorial has not bugs that I have seen and has no extras (sounds, bitmaps, story/before-game instructions). This utility has very little of a visual impression, and has only grass 1, forest trees, and water. Yet, it looks good in a wierd kind of way for this type of utility.

Instructions: This utility is very easy to use. The Display Instructions that were used went fast and I could not read tham as well as I would have liked. But they were very simple instructions, with their main objective of moving the units to the horse. There is no pre-game instructions, hints, nor Scouts, but I think it is pretty simple to just read the Display Instructions on the screen. They are clear but do not really stay on the screen long enough for the user/player to read. Of course, what is the chat menu for? ;)

Final Thoughts: This scenario was useful to me and probably any other player/designer who plays the tutorial. The good points are --Simple instructions, unique unit changes (the mounted unit the foot unit changes into), and easy-to-do objectives.--, but this utility was lacking these points --Pre-Game instructions to tell the player instructions before-hand, in-game tips on how to make the "foot unit on horse" trick work, some play action (such as you being able to move your unit around some), or even a small storyline such as 'a long swordsman has to walk up to the stables to pick up his horse, but he needs money to do so. You need to find a job or something to get money and buy a horse, and then it shows a tutorial on how to mount a unit'.-- The creator does not have to, but it would indeed raise the score higher. If the creator included some map design, in-game instructions on how to do the trick, so the player does not need to exit out and look for themselves, and maybe hints or objectives so just in case the player misses the display instructions, they can go to the objectives and learn how.

Good luck on Designing/Utility creating to the Author,
