Admit it-most people make "Smash and Bash" campaigns that feature ridiculous situations, I.E two huge armies, then smash them aginst each other.

Nice, fun, little effort given.

The last one would apply the best to "The Fall of Krak De Chavaliers. You start off in one corner of the map with 134 troops, to go up aginst Krak De Chavaliers, the Knights of the Templar's home base.

You start off with 134 troops. Way too many to command at one time. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll scream in horror as you try and manipulate 5 different groups of troops aginst Krak De Chavaliers. The AI base is surrounded by a palisade wall. Villagers attempt to build a second, stone wall, but only succeed on one side. What this means is that instead of knocking down 2 walls with Guard Towers shooting at you, and Arbalests hindering your HP levels, you have a second option of going through a palisade wall with 134 troops vs. a few Guard Towers. Tough Choice?

134 troops is still WAY too many. There isn't really a difficulty difference here, just a lot of troops vs. marginally improving enemies at higher difficulty levels. The castle of Krak De Chavaliers proper has 12000 HP. Not a typo. 12000. Saladin is also too powerful, as he has 495 HP and +22 attack. Instead of the careful manipulation of the positions of ordinary Heroes, you can throw him in wherever and pretty much carry the day.

As a sidequest, there is an English camp and a French camp. They send out amounts of Longbowmen, and Throwing Axemen. Easy kill. Also, Saladin must rendevous with the Turkish Army, to the south of Chavaliers. They send up their own army, to weaken the defenses. There aren't any special sounds, music, or AI, just the Master Templar's final dying call. (If you strike me down I shall emerge stronger then you can ever imagine....)

Dirt 1 with some cliffs sprinkled about. Oh, you can't forget the wonderful JUNGLE terrain that appears to the east of Krak De Chavaliers. Jungle terrain next to the desert really ruins the atmosphere of this scenario.....That's all I can say.

Instructions: Send Saladin to Turkish Army. Destroy Krak De Chavaliers. The only story here is that Saladin is going to obliterate Krak De Chavaliers. The story that you start off with is the story you get. No explanation for the Turkish and English presence is given, just that they are there. There are also some spelling errors that detract from the experience.

+ Points

English and French Camps
Turkish Army mission

- Points

Unbalanced Krak De Chavaliers/Saladin Army
Jungle in Desert
Palisade Walls as only defense

Spelling Errors

While it *is* a kinda fun campaign to play, the over-powerful Army and weak French/English camps seem to be thrown in as a teaser. If Saladin's army was weaker, and the map smaller, it would deserve 2s and 3s, but as it is right now, it isn't worth a download.
