AI Wars Round 1, Game 1: AllTooEasy vs RML125

Author File Description
Angel Washizu
File Details
Version: The Conquerors
AI Wars

The first match up in our AI Wars tournament. I won't reveal the winner between these two well designed AI scripts, as it would ruin the suspense for anyone who wants to watch the game right away. Let me tell you, this was a very fun game to watch.

AllTooEasy (player 1, team 1) drew the Britons
AllTooEasy (player 2, team 1) drew the Japanese
RML125 (player 3, team 2) drew the Vikings
RML125 (player 4, team 2) drew the Koreans

Map type: Arabia

Settings: Standard AI Wars settings

_o0XxX0o_ First the recorded game went the way so many recorded games go...It was renamed and became a "File", instead of a .mgl or a .mgx file, making it unplayable. Now it is a .mgl file, and will not play with the xpack:Tc version, only with the original aok, even though the version is listed AS :TC....this mistake is made over and over and over...maybe a simple set of instructions on the do's and don't's of recorded game submitions would be helpful when a game is submitted.
_o0XxX0o_ OK, Now it won't play at all in Aok. That is because it is an xpack saved game, even though it is marked as a .mgl file, which the file type for the non xpack version....mgx files are reserved for xpack...mgl files are not even listed in aok:TC saved game list. How was that done?

Just a slight mixup. The wrong extension was put on it. All you have to do is rename the file extension to .mgx and it should work.

I'm working on getting it fixed.

You don't need to do this if you are downloading the file now. To rename the file, just make sure the "hide known file extensions" is turned off in the Folder Options and then, right click on the file, choose rename, and you should be able to rename it.
_o0XxX0o_ I do not consider myself dumb, but how do you rename a file extension without having to go into DOS?

The file extension has been fixed... sorry for the mixup!
