Quake -TC- Arena

I'll try to cut this short.
One small map, four agressive soldiers, each one has ten lives. Map has upgrade flags and healers. Objective is to be the last one on the map. It is trigger-rich and full of action-strategy (well, more the action side). Every man for himself. This is something that has never been done before, at least not so deeply.

I suggest you to download this map, you have never seen anything like this before, so it is at least well worth seeing.

There are people who may like that kind of game very much, so although it may never get a 5.0 as a review, it is still worth to look at.

Oh, and by the way, I suggest everyone to download a scenario named "The Sims" too. It is very good and fun to play with. Thank you author, whoever you are (sorry).

This is definitely one of the most interesting campaigns I have ever downloaded with the definite exception of Aokasino. Although it was VERY creative and fun to play, it was unwinnable. Here is a greater overview of the scores.

As I said, this thing was loads of fun to play, but there are a few drawbacks, some major, some not. For one, this arena featured a healer. This is truly a good detail to have, but he stopped healing people after about 3 secs. That was a good idea, but 7 or 8 would have been better. Also about the healer, if you stood where he walked back to, he would heal you endlessly. On a heavier note, even if you killed all the enemies as they came at you, a trigger error stopped you from winning this.

This was very well-balanced. It was challenging and required strategy, though I won’t give away how I beat it for those who have not yet downloaded it. The weapons upgrades are also a very good aspect that either help or hinder you depending on who gets to them first.

This is truly a one of a kind campaign, who ever though of remaking an FPS in TC? Well, this guy did, and they did a great job of it. I infact began a multi-player scn based on this, but I’m never gonna finish it due to the fact that I’ve become bored with designing stuff and am waiting ‘till EE.

The map was a minor detail here, but it was still well done, with small bunches of flowers growing around the walls, and a nice bit of elevation in the center. This would have been better with a slightly bigger map as I could usually see everyone at once. Still, the map worked for what it was designed for.

There was no story, but there didn’t need to be, this is a battle arena! The instructions were well done and it had a cool bitmap, but it could have used a bit more explaining for those unfamiliar with Quake III. Still, they were good all-around.

I recommend you d/l this even though it never tells you win, just quit when you’ve blown everyone away. It won’t give you hours of fun, but it is quit satisfy to fragg people when you’re feeling a need to kill something. I really do think that the designer has some potential, though they need to focus more on testing stuff.

Isakmalm_aok Great scenario!!! I must say i created something like this for AOK ( New scenario style: Death Match (not multi player) But it sucked cuz it was created for AOK so i had no change stats triggers, and i made the mistake to use knights :) as fighters. But i had some good ideas, like set your own game ( NR of frags/players ). Im thinkin about creating new maps to this, like Chapture the Flag ( Work in team and try to chapture a flag in opponent base and return it to yours ) Or Domination ( Hold key points to gain score and win )... How about that?

Like nothing I have ever played before, please make one maybe with enemy GAIA animal units who jump out at you. possible differernt spells (map revealers, treasures, shops and stores?) and a bigger map.
WildChild very kewl, i hope you make another one, i am very inspired by your creation of a quake 3 arena level.
maye yu could change the normal player to a janissary as the game would be faster, two monks and maybe a slightly bigger map
