Well, I know how you feel, Inferno. Oh yeah, while you're at it, check out my Eye candy city template (a few scenarios down from yours) and tell me what you think.

Well, Inferno, I did see it. I can comment on it, but I can't in good conscience review it.
It handles ok, but there's very little to do on the map.The player needs to know where to go and what to do in an RPG. I hadn't a clue that I was supposed to go to the village and help blacksmith find armour.
Second of all, when he asked for Iron, I wish you had defined what "iron" was going to be on the map. I eventually found it (it was a few piles of stone).
I looked over the map (marco/polo). Not bad. Eye candy isn't terrible, but a tad bland here and there. The forest in the north DID have trees, but otherwise no eyecandy (not even leaf terrain). There are some flowers, that lake in the northeast of the map (witha few tiny islands with a couple of trees) and the village(s).
It might not be such a bad idea to name your hero (if you named to guards and the blacksmith, why not the m@a?). And what's with the scout?
No instructions. That's almost unforgivable.
I has potential, but for it to be a decent RPG, it needs more tasks, a storyline, fighting, a boss (or two) to kill. True, it IS only a demo of a single world in the RPG, but I cannot in good conscience leave any of this out. |

Patrick, ur absolutely right, but the worst thing is the Map Crashed :S. il start a new RPG with more eye-candy and more story line.
It also was a demo, but it sucks :P.
il make a better one and you gave me some good tips :). |

Nice start to a definately promising RPG.
A few things:
-I like the trigger trick you did w/ the blacksmith shop
-Use trigger looping for the signpost so you can read it more than once
-Give the player more hints. What iron? Where? Or you could call it stone
-Check your grammar on the dialogue
Can't wait till final version |
