The Battle of Argonne Forest
By Era Productions
============================
Originally a small-profile scenario, The Battle of Argonne Forest is one of Era's most complex projects. Following the release of the first version, Magnum Zero adopted the scenario and got the Era Productions Scenario Design Team to work on it again. The intro has been completely revamped, the atmosphere has been improved, and the difficulty levels ensure some degree replay value.
The Battle of Argonne Forest re-tells the tale of the Lost Battalion of World War I in a new, interactive, perspective. You follow the group of hardened soldiers through a German-infested forest, only to have to survive for days at a single mill until rescue arrives. Can you stop the German onslaught?
Extract the .cpx file into the campaign folder for AoK. (Usually C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires II/Campaign)
Extract the sound files into the Sound, Scenario folder. (Usually C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires II/Sound/Scenario)
This can be played on Normal speed. You will want to have AoK's music turned off. The sounds of war are almost always playing, along with a soundtrack. You may even want to wear headphones to increase the realism.
The Era Productions Team hopes that you enjoy the campaign! |

"along with a superb soundtrack"
"the atmosphere is almost too real"
"greatest works to date"
It sounds like you've already given this a reputation it can't live up to. It makes you guys look silly when you put stuff like that in the description. It would be a good idea to tone down the self flattery with an edit, and leave the reviewer(s) to give the praise. Of course, if you're just humouring us... |

Whoever posted the project up kinda put the readme as the description. Better tell Watchwood to fix that. And yes I'd say we're humouring i guess :p |

As Terry said, the ReadMe was posted accidently. However, to refute your points, because I'm bored:
"along with a superb soundtrack"
Hey, we didn't "make" the sounds in the soundtrack. Therefore, we are complimenting the songs.
"the atmosphere is almost too real"
Well, it is. What's wrong with that?
"[Era's] greatest works to date"
This is certainly not self-flattery. If this is a horrible campaign, then it is still Era's greatest work. And, therefore, Era has not made anything better. |

Fair enough, but you should always keep the description area purely neutral. Also, when zipping the file you should place the sounds and campaign in folders so they drop into the right place.
For example
Campaign: The Battle of the Argone Forest.CPX
Sound - scenario: [sound files]
Then you can unzip the campaign in AoK and they all drop into place.
Edit: Yes, it crashes after selecting the difficulty of moderate. Fix the bug ASAP so people's downloads aren't a waste. I'll do a review for it some time soon.[Edited on 06/28/05 @ 05:15 PM]

Do we need any Mod to play this campaign? |

I am very skeptical about the idea of a scenario that takes place in a time centuries after the time period that the game was intended to be played. I'm not sure excatly how this is supposed to be realistic. |

My apologies for the outrageous claims, I let Terry go overboard with the description, and forgot to check his writing. Rest assured we're working on a fix, and it'll be up soon, with luck. |
