Sacred Entrance
*What is the use of this modification?
It can be used as entrance to dungeons, hell and even representate the home of an end boss for example.
*How does it looks like?
With a litte bit use of eyecandy it looks like this:(click on the picture to get a bigger version of it)
*Which object does it replace?
You may have wondered before as you looked at the picture. It's slightly big. It replaces the building church4. Church 4 has much more squares then all the other objects. You can find this object in many beta templates.
*"I want to use this modification in my big modification! Therefore I need the password to extract the .slp file!!!!!"
You don't need the password. Just use the included 1871.slp file in the archive.
And now enjoy this modification!

This building modpack, for AoK or TC, can be used, in the author's words, as an "entrance to hell" or something similar, and players could probably come up with alternative uses. It replaces Church4, a rarely-used beta unit, and therefore could be permanently installed without much hassle if so desired.
Usefulness/Novelty (5)
This modpack is very striking and dramatic, and rather creepy, as befits its suggested use. It is quite large and very different from any other building in AoK and its inclusion in almost anything would liven it up so I could foresee a lot of use for it. I could give nothing less than a top score.
Quality/Instructions (5)
An absolutely top-notch design, it looks excellent, I could not find any fault with it. To get hold of Church4, the author has helpfully provided a link to a number of beta-unit templates at AoKH. Also provided are an SLP file, and two pictures of the mod, one giving an example of how it could be used - the 'walkability' of the entrance is an excellent touch.
General comment
This is my first modpack review and seeing such an excellent modpack as this one moves me to comment on the potential of modpacks and how relatively little-used they are in campaigns/scenarios (at least at the Blacksmith). There are valid reasons why designers prefer not to use them, and I haven't, but seeing this one makes me realise that they open up a whole new world in which the appearance of the game can be dramatically transformed. It's a pity that modpacks are, in some ways, the poor relation of AoK design. |

Quality: (5)
Wonderful graphic. This is great quality stuff. Don't know what to say here, other than good job.
Usefulness: (5)
This is a really useful graphic. You listed a few uses in your description and there are more that designers can come up with. We scenario designers are very resourceful. Great here as well. The graphic replacing Church 4, a beta unit, helps greatly for those who may accidentally permanentl install it. Also, this graphic will only come up in the game when you want it to, since it uses a non-buildable structure.
Additional note:
GREAT title page up at the top of this dowload. It's great to have a full and complete understanding of the mod before deciding whether or not to download it. Heck, with all he info you give up there, I probably could have rated this mod wthout even downloading it! (though I don't think I'm allowed to do that anyway) :-)[Edited on 01/14/07 @ 02:22 AM]
