This is, as I have said my first attempt in such a mission. I know it is not well balanced, but I'm hoping that you'll point out what could I improve.
The problem is that I was unable to find some detailed maps of the battle and I was unable to find really good materials about it. I know it's not perfect and I repeat that I hope you'll help me to fix its mistakes.
And yes, I know that you can move units before the start of battle. I hope you won't abuse it.
---
The thirteen years' war between Poland and Teutonic Order in years 1454-1466 was a harsh war where Poland has been defeated in the begining. However later the Polish forces started to win and the Order was eventually defeated.
The terrible failure of Polish army was in battle of Chojnice, in the first year of war.
Polish forces ammounted to ~16 000 heavy cavalrymen, a few thousand infantry and 2000 Prussian mercenaries.
Teutonic Order had 9000 cavalrymen and 6000 infantrymen
Initial Polish charge has broken part of the will of fight in the battle, the knights started falling back towards Chojnice. Surprisingly for Polish the infantrymen from Chojnice struck their backs! The Polish cavalry started escaping soon after, the battle was won by Teutonic Knights |

5-10 minute scenario.I didn't abuse the move before battle trick but got about 10 paladins to the enemy commander.Basically it was very easy. One of the Lose options was DO NOT LOSE YOUR COMMANDER and i believe i lost him (he got stuck in the ally camp and died ) but after i killed their commander. Dont know if you need to fix that. Maybe i should have lost there. |

That's actually the problem, winning by killing the commander is easiest. The first side to kill the opposing commander wins, of course. When you hear the retreat call you can't win.
And I know that getting the commander is a bit too easy. And yeah, it's not a long battle, I know... |

ahh i figured that was the main goal was to chase him down.Maybe you could have a trigger where after there are say 20 men left on one team that the commanders both come out or something. Im not a map maker so i dont know much about this, just love playing campaigns. |

The main goal is to try to beat the army. Try it, I'm sure it won't be easy. |

Trust me, is not "easy" because it's IMPOSSIBLE to beat the entired red army with all those paladins. Kill the commander, and walla, you have a winner, ah and by the way, i moved my commander to the back of the "town" so it woulndt get killed because it has so low HP and damage rate that it wouldnt help or do anything on the field so, back he went away from the battle. Keep it up ;)[Edited on 07/21/08 @ 07:58 AM]

I have won and it was really hard. The main thing is: USE THOSE HALBEDIERS. Let them do the fighting and use the cavaliers to charge the enemy in the back. Trust me, this WILL do. |

Yeah, they're there to use them after all. They are under your control anyway, I didn't say you can't use them... |

Not bad Too easy and short but worth playing. Good for your first mission too. Well done! |
