When i defeated the villains that controlled the church, i didn't get the monk. Maybe it was because i had to flee at first, because i was almos killed, which i didn't think would happen agains only 2 villains.[Edited on 12/04/05 @ 08:11 AM]

You must go to the area where you met the monk to get control of him. This is unfortunately a bug.I will fix it and then post an update.
Thanks for pointing out anyway! |

Playability: 3
Richard the lionhearted was an average sized FF campaign where you must control Richard and his loyal followers and succeed in destroying King Henry whom is now widely disliked amongst many of the people of France. This scenario was an alright game, but because of the lack of effort to detail and playtesting, it is not what it could have been.
Balance: 3
The balance was quite good. At times you really must use the bonuses offered by fighting up hill, in order to overcome multiple enemies. Other times it was just a matter of charging the enemy with massed units, making sure to micromanage some of your units onto the enemy units. But otherwise it wasn't real challenging.
Creativity: 4
This scenario dealt with the historical life of Richard the Lionhearted fairly good. While there was not in the way of many mind blowing tricks, the author never fails to introduce old tricks which always intrigue. We are taken through the countryside of France, and must find helping hands to defeat King Henry's powerful army. Here we must talk to the commoners to do their wishes, so that we may succeed in doing the overall objective. This is what Mk101 is best known for using, and he should know it is a great and original idea that should always become the centre of any scenario in the making.
Map Design: 4
The author always uses some interesting layouts for his map design, and while not great, still is not greatly boring, and offers the scenario with some added effect. Otherwise the only real problem is that the map is too non-linear. Perhaps making the map layout more simpler so the player knows where he/she is going would be great.
Story/Instructions: 4
Including an okay bitmap (It was too fuzzy), the story was careful to address what was happening, but I felt we weren't told enough and I was sometimes confused with the overall story. The objectives were plentiful but really needed to address more accurately where we were to go in order to fulfil an objective. And the grammar was another thing. It wasn't as if it wasn't understandable, but it seemed as if some of the dialogue and objectives were speed typed and not checked for spelling inconsistency. The extra playtesting and attention to detail goes a long way. Otherwise a good start, but just go that one step further.
Additional Comments:
Overall this was a good game, except for the constant abuse to detail. But a little advice Mk101 is to take your time until you believe everything is near perfect. Perhaps getting people to playtest your work would benefit really well too. The map is quite well set out, but needs to be more linear so that we know where we're going. And some of the objectives need to address where to go too. Otherwise this a good game and should be downloaded. It is not a master piece but not a bad game either. Mk101 you are always improving, keep up the good work![Edited on 11/06/06 @ 09:09 AM]

This is a GREAT scenario, it would have been good if it was a whole campagin, with like his crusades, but its still a really good scenario. its good how u have to go around and kinda do "side quest" (for lake of a better name) to achieve your goals |

This had the potential to be very good but your instructions aren't too clear. Who is the messenger? Your triggers don't work unless they're done in a certain order. Good try. |
