The Conquerors 1.0c |
This is a demo for my RPG I am working on.
It contains the character demo campaign and screen shots from the regular map.
Sorry about the lack of storyline details, but i just wanted something i could put out there
to get the word around.
I might make another demo soon with more storyline. So be on the look out for that.
I am also looking for playtesters to help me out, i need atleast six. So if you are
interested please email me, or catch me on the zone some time.

Tales of Loyalty is a short fictitious cut-scene going for a little over 3 minutes introducing a much bigger multiplayer scenario. The cut-scene introduces the six main characters of the story and their traits and puts you right up to what they are best at doing.
Playability: (4.0)
This cut-scene was enjoyable and though, presented an obscure description of what ‘Tales of Loyalty’ is actually about. Here we are introduced to the main characters of the story and their unique abilities, through various scenes, which were creative and good to watch. There were some laugh-out-loud scenes, but mainly you just sat back and enjoyed. The downer of this cut-scene, though was the fact that there was no actual story detailing the outlines of the game in itself, so we are left wondering what the game is actually about. Also, I encountered a bug whereby, as it shows Kaden finish fighting the Green Player is defeated, probably because there were no supporting units to keep the player alive.
Balance: (5.0)
When rating this category, reviewers must take into account the author’s intentions and goals of the design. It is in the intention of the author that this scenario evolves plot and story, and to show a cut-scene whereby the player receives no units to control and no struggle to survive. As such there is no deduction from the overall score because there is no fighting for the player.
Creativity: (4.0)
From what I could gather from this cut-scene was that it was indeed unique and original. We had a cut-scene that introduced all six of the main characters of the game and showed each and every one of them interact with other objects to add colour to the characters mentalities. While the names of each character weren't so creative, one could get a sense of humour to the game. We could see a character who summons mother nature, another kill hordes of barbarians under a blanket of fog and a character carrying his manipulated women away which all helped to factor into creativity.
Map Design: (5.0)
The map design was very good although we only go to see very little of it. It was very green and lush, with flowers and undergrowth at every crevice adding to a good sense of fertility. It was all very nice and well presented. Not too little and not too overdone.
Story/ Instructions: (3.0)
There was no story, which outlined the game's purpose, but the dialogue in the actual cut-scene itself was well written and legible. There were quite a few spelling mistakes, however, and could easily have been fixed up.
In a word – Fresh.
In closing – Give it a go.[Edited on 07/02/08 @ 10:01 PM]

Thank for your kind words Mashek. I do apolagize about the lack of storyline. If enough people are intrested with this demo I will definatly make another one with a little more storyline. With this map I am trying to make something a little bit more original than most rpg's out there. To me it seems most designers don't even make rpg's anymore. They either make campaigns or bloods. I stop designing for a couple of years, and when i used to design maps most of my friends made awsome rpg's like TheCampeador, brutish_Khanz, or Sypher2k1 (forgot most of em). I'm just trying to bring that back. And yes I will try to make this map a little bit humorous. Some people say im funny, so we'll see how it goes.
BTW: I will designing campaigns and multiplayer bloods aswell as rpg's. I'm just glad i found time to design again : ) |

Um...so, I'm a member here, and I was jsut randomly searchign phrases on Yahoo! Search, and when I typed in 'tales of loyalty' this was the first result!!
So either it's really the first result, of my browser holds memory of websites I visit and gives them preference in searches...If it's not that, then it's a HUGE coincidence... |
