This random map is divided into two areas: a mountainous region to the south, and a marshland to the north. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages - which one will you master?

Night life This RMS is nothing like you described it...

Its just a full snow covered map with 7 elevation everywhere with craters that have grass in them with all the players villages inside each of them. Where are the mountains? Where are the marshlands?

Hmm, as far as I'm concerned that was my goal at creating this random map, but it turned out to be a real divided one.

I uploaded a full map print (of the AI test) in jpg format - it has been resized by the hosting server but you should still get the idea. It is 512kB by the way, so it won't ruin your connection...

Can you help me out? A map of similar kind is the result every time I test the map...

From the description provided by the author the theme of the RMS are the foothills of mountains, the random map however appeared quit different from it’s supposed theme as there was no such effect which gave the impression of the foothills in the map. The map barely contains any cliffs and even elevation is used in a limited amount, apart from that there are no signs of mountains on a random map with a foothills theme. Sadly the author has failed to do justice to his theme.2

The random map consists mainly of snow terrain with some areas of grass, elevation is scarcely used and no effort has been made at terrain mixing. The forests are scattered unevenly throughout the map and there are few cliffs. The map has a very unrealistic and barren look overall and no effort has been made at blending terrain and giving some variety to it. The same types of forests are scattered throughout the map and even water is missing. The map clearly lacks in visual appeal.2

The creator has provided the required number of villagers and resources required to play although the scout provided is almost useless early on as the starting area of players is surrounded by a circle of trees which not only limits the scope of scouting but also decreases the building space for the player.The computer AI with it’s usual silliness sometimes quickly hacks through the forest part to attack and sometimes just stays inside the circle. In a four player game with the comp there was always one comp player whose progress was halted because of that tree circle. Resources and relics are provided in ample quantity and the game is overall playable on the map though the lack of visual appeal, absence of choke points and the unnecessary forest circle keep it from being a very enjoyable experience.2

Wizer I'll take a look at it and see I can make any suggestions. In the future ask for playtesters before uploading, it might save you from being flamed.
