The Conquerors 1.0c |

2-8 (Alternative teaming) |
A rather old map of mine that I have just dug out to submit, somebody should enjoy it ;)
*Type: Blood Strategy
*Players: 2-8 (Alternative teaming)
*Resources:
The one resource available is food, this can be acquired by:
#1 Killing,
#2 Grabbing strategic positions, (generally road terrain outside the base.)
#3 Keeping your team's blacksmith alive.
*Victory Conditions: Destroy the enemy teams production buildings, exclouding towers,
blacksmith, outposts, walls, etc.
*-SERIOUS NOTES:
Teams are on alternate lines, and MUST be kept like this:
pLayer1-team1, player2-team2, player3-team1, player4-team2, etc. There are only ever TWO
TEAMS.-
*Gameplay aspects:
1) Each player must work with his/her teammates to destroy the enemy,
co-ordination is key.
2) Even if there are eight players in the game, there are still only two team bases.
3) Mostly all units from the game can be bought in a buying area on the map for a price in
food.
4) There are four maps to play the same game on, each one with slightly different features,
making for an interesting set of games. From steaming, deadly jungles, to wet and wild
swamps, to dry and murderous deserts and finally in cold and bitter snowy terrain.
Here are the differences between the maps:
#1 Jungle- The standard and first map made, with standard defences, a standard blacksmith
and three "food points".
#2 Snow- This map has a walled spawning point, a blacksmith located out of the base, and
more food points which are located around the base, not in the field.
#3 Desert- this map has One food point, extra blacksmiths, standard defences.
#4 Swamp- This map has a castle overlooking the spawn point, standard base, three food
points, and additional base walls.

Playability: 5
This map is very fun to play. Everyone fights for the food trickle roads, and deciding how to spend your food is a lot of fun. Also, having 4 different versions (snow, desert, swamp, and jungle), that are much different, adds to replayability.
Balance: 5
Each player starts on exactly equal footing. Also, there is nothing unstoppable in the shop. The units are priced well, so you can counter them well (i.e. massed paladins arent too good).
Creativity: 5
This gets a 5 in creativity because I have never seen anything like it in a blood map. For kills, controlling blacksmiths, and road powerups, you get a trickle of food (you also get some for free). There is a shop in the west corner of the map with about 40 unit choices to buy. For the food you get units 1 at a time until you run out of food (i.e. Elite Jannissary costs 5 food, and it keeps spawning when you have your king on it until you have 0 food).
Map Design: 5
The map design is well done. It has a good amount of eye candy, while not inducing lag. The game has to be played 4v4, and each team is in the same base. The map is symmetrical, so it is even.
Story/Instructions: 3
The map has great instructions, and the hints are filled with an explanation of the map. I was not at all overwhelmed by it. This would get a 5 in story/instructions, but it doesn't have a story. The reviewing guideline says no story makes the maximum rating 3.
Additional Comments:
A must download. You will find that you can play Team War again and again. I was so addicted to it last night that I stayed up until 4:00 AM!
