This is my Best Campign so far. Very good. I would like to thank the people who made The_Holy Scenario because withput their units, this scenario would be nothing. Sorry about useing you stuff ,too! But I like it! I have included a lava mod because you have to lanch it in order to play the campign. I will tell you more in the readme.txt. If you can beleve me, it took only 2 days to make this. Comments would be nice if anyone has a question. Plz give this a good rating. Good Luck and God\'s Speed!
The Holy Grail is a RPG campaign of two scenarios, but one is a cinematic exit video so its really a single scenario. It has some issues and is fairly on the simplistic side.
I didnt enjoy it due technical issues and poor difficulty even on easiest;i cant detect a difficulty level system even though the author says to use easy. Its an RPG yet your heros can die and you dont lose. Note that mods in 2002era dont change the gameplay, they are just reskinning the game, so you can play in normal AoC
Its way too hard, the enemy has FU hero units and your heros have no upgrades. That creates a huge strength differential problem. The author said he wanted an impossibly hard map in the objectives\hints, so here you go, if thats what you like. You will spend much time simply waiting for hero regen to kick in before moving on. There has to be a way to win without using borderline cheats to be considered a well adjusted difficulty.
Its very well differentiated from a random map.
Map Design 2
There is some detailing work with gaia objects, but the overall work struggles to compete even against random map terrain. The forests are enormous blocks of wood that put black forest to shame. The paths\roads simply cut through these woods without any terrain work.
Its well done, with deep hints, good objectives, and its clear. There is a RPG story as you would expect, but the ingame text is delivered in that small font to the side which makes it hard to read.
Final thoughts: I wouldnt recommend it. This isnt a campaign, it just has a cinematic exit video.
