Regain your kingdom from your evil twin. This map is lots of fun and should take one a bit to get through. Tons of triggers and new charactors. Play if you dare. Muhahahahaha |

Thanx!! redsoxin2oo5...I tried to make the game so players could barge on in with some losses or use the powerful well... |

Yeah, I am trying to keep all the main characters....(I actually did not lose the drunken idiot, but I had garissoned him in a allies Town Center and forgot about it..). I am also saving once every 2 mins..LOL |

To all who download this..I would be thankful if one of you could give me an actual review...I think the terrain is some of the best out there and it's fun and challanging to play...wadda ya say...you know you want to...
Thanx

Returning the favour of your comment.
This is a good scenario (challenging) but it has in my opinion a major flaw. Almost every time I kill a group of men my heroes are badly wounded and I have to wait 5 minutes for them to heal, just to break through a pallisade and get wounded AGAIN. My suggestion is that you instant heal the heroes after every bunch of enemies are killed, this would cut down on frustration. (Although now after you find some monks and get to build new troops this is no longer a problem)
Also, new as I am, I think it looks better to have coloured text (it's easier to see who's talking), and the victory condition shouldn't be kill everything. The best part is the difficulty (moderate) and the map.
EDIT- (Rather than take up another comment)It might be an idea to have hidden upgrades in obscure places to reward the exploring player.[Edited on 04/12/06 @ 11:22 AM]

Thanx Julius 999 :~)
I wanted it challanging...and there's only one thing I hate more than having Heros that are so powerful they can never be killed...not having any Heros at all.!..players can easily lose a hero...it forces the player to micro manage many battles...and pay attention to my hint [lead with your strongest...(he has better armor)]...This will cut down on the wait time...I also go on with the two who are healthy for some 'Lure and Bait' to reduce enemy numbers...I personally don't have a lot of wait time when I play (except a little at the begining when you are alone)..later in the game it changes to more of a B&D without the B...Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you liked the terrain...To anyone reading this-Shadows after Sunset is a must download!!

OK, I've finished it now (finally!) and have one more thing to say.
Late on (after you get the monks) the balance becomes really easy. I decided not to even build any new units and still managed to win very painlessly. The problem is that with the two monks you can convert the enemies (not the heroes though, shame, that eternal guardian would be a useful soldier). I converted 2 powerful secret police people, a few cataphracts, Samba and George. With those last 2 I managed to level the entire enemy city in 15 minutes, you want to make it so either the monks can't convert or enemies die as soon as they are converted.
If you still want one I'll do a review for you, but I recommend you change this last part first! Thanks for the advertising by the way :-)[Edited on 04/11/06 @ 05:44 PM]

Thanks for your comments Julius999 :~)
I have activated Heresy (converted units die) for all the endgame enemies...It should make the end challanging again...It didn't happen to me because I like 'killing' the enemy (gotta love that bloodlust)...Great to get feedback from different types of players..it makes the game more enjoyable to all...now that this little tiny change has taken place you should replay.?..(or maybe from a save and don't convert)Still am not done with S@S-many options...Trying to do them all(Ha Ha)...This change went into effect at the 99th download...
Thanks

Ok, I checked over this and can't comment much on the design, True it had a few strongpoints, BUT, All the same water throughout lever, Once in red terrotory its all snow dirt and a few other things like that, For instance, Alll the same trees with no spaceing in them, You have to go into the trees more basically, They aren't detailed enough, Other then that its a great scenerio,Keep up the good work on everything you are doing! |
