Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Style: Build and Destroy
The Great Plain is the richest place on the face of the earth. Bushes, gold, stone, gems, diamonds, all kinds of resources abound on the Plain. The plain is not a big region, it is quite small actually. But many lords have been figthing for it over the years. The priests have predicted that Hsing would win the battle. You killed them. 2 years later, the priests predicted that you would win. The time has come to kill your enemies. You have mustered enough forces to do this, and you have also left your enemies in peace long enough, thus meaning their trust in you has incressed. The time to complete your conquest, and take control of the state is now! You must destroy Klash, Pineau and Hsing, and with such a powerful territory, nothing will stand in your way, and your legions will rule the world!

An Ambicious quest indeed... but with faith and courage, we will destroy our enemies!

You are John Klash. Noone knows the leader of your realm.
Which is you.

Map Design4.0
"The Great Plain" is a campaign based around a character called John Klash, you play as him indirectly fighting against 3 other enemies, the Hsing, the Pineau and the Klash.

Playability: The playability of this campaign is fair, it is hard building up an economy because of the little resources and the location of your town aloft many a cliff. Once you have built up the enemy doesn't pose so much of a threat and doesn't attack you often; soon you'll find yourself winning this campaign. In short, build and destroy scenarios rely on Ai files a lot more than many of types of campaign.

Balance: The Great Plain's balance is mediocre, building up for your forces and economy to begin with is hard but there is little challenge once you have reached passed the twenty minute mark. To improve the balance and playability of this campaign, you need some custom Ai's scripted especially for this map is preferred but using some of the Ai's in the Blacksmith would be an improvement for sure.

Creativity: The creativity of The Great Plain is ok, it could do with more things of interest such as waterfalls, assassination attempts, having to control John Klash and protect him from being killed would be an interesting addition as you would then have to both defend and attack.

Map Design: The map design on the whole was good, it was definitely above average, something's on the map seemed a little peculiar such as a straight river down the centre of the map and the vast amounts of gold around my base. Generally speaking, the map design was very good and proved for some interesting tactical challenges. A suggestion if this campaign would be improved, would be to add more elevations to the map in general.

Story/Instructions: The story in this campaign is reasonable, you are introduced in game to the game by a small tour and description of your enemies and locations of your enemies. At the introduction screen, there is a good bitmap and a solid section of history from the Great Plain. The introduction's screen is used as a credit's section and so will not be marked. The hints are fair and can help you, but use of these in moderation is probably best.

Overall: Build and Destroy scenarios or campaigns long for a strong set of Ai files. Add more of a challenge to this campaign and you will vastly increase the score, The Great Plain has potential but it just cries out for Ai files, adding some other interesting diversions from just fighting would be a good way of including variety as well. A possible addition would be possibly to secure a gold mine or rescue captured men.
