The Assassin
Created by Imperial Creations and Lance O Lot
The Assassin
Creeps through the woods
Pulls his bow and fires
The guard falls dead
Darkness surrounds him
He is invisible
Another shot
The guard goes down
Only one guard left...
This level is just a break kinda thing from my current campaign (War of the White Rose), so I decided to just make a small level with not many triggers and here's what I came up with!
The level is a cut-scene so all you have to do is sit back and relax! I might make this into a series, but I haven't decided yet.
Features Include:
Torch Trick
Night Scenes
Inside a Building Trick
Far shooting Trick
And much more!
I hope you enjoy it!

At last I've reviewed this cut-scene!
I hope you like it Lance
The Assassin is the first part in a series, that Lance O Lot might finish. Its about a mysterious man hired to kill a man called Raven, and steal some secret documents. . .
Playability: 3
The cut-scene played well, when it played. First time I played it, the fat man couldn't get up to the mysterious grey man in the bar. He stopped after a while, and nothing happend. I restarted two times, then it worked. And I was pretty pleased. The idea and story is good.
I enjoyed most of the cut-scene, but there was a few things I didn't like.
First the choise of song in the end. It was too loud and not really fitting.
Of course, its your choise as creator to put in what you like, but I wanted to tell you anyway.
Then this starting problem, that irritated me (the one with the fattie never reaching the assassin)
But I seriously think you should continue the series. Many liked it, including me.
So keep going :D
Balance: 5
According to the review guidelines this cut-scene gets a 5
Creativity: 5
A great part of the cut-scene. Lots of trick that I've never seen before, or rarely seen before. One example is the torch upon the spears. I think I know HOW to make it, but I've never done it. The only place I've seen it elsewhere is your War of the White Rose, that came earlier, but that I watched far after this one
The whole idea may not be unique, but one of the better made cut-scenes, or campaigns about assassins here around. I haven't played all, but this is the best of those I've played
Map Design: 4+
Map design is a strong part of this cut-scene. The forest where Raven lived is extremly well done, and the only thing that didn't give this a 5.0 was some blank spaces, as where Raven was killed. So this gets a strong 4
Story/Instructions: 4+
The story isn't unique, as I said before, but its very well made and interesting. Its fun to watch the cut-scene and experiense the story.
The instructions are interesting, and I like the text with -The Assasin-| thing.
It isn't a story evolved to the limit. It can be even more evolved, as it might be if you continue it.
I didn't find this so perfect to give a 5.0
So S/I also gets a strong 4
Additional Comments:
I'd love to see the continuation and end of this story, and surely many others would too.
I can only wish you good luck with your work, and hope you continue this great story
Thanks for the great cut-scene Lance :D

I really enjoyed the bar room scene! You chose good music for it. You did a good job on the booth too.
The night scene was a stroke of genius! I have never seen anything like it before, without the use of Gene ED2 that is.
I was on the edge of my seat as the Assassin crept next to the guards and killed them, and it got even scarier when one of the guards let out a screem when he died. Anyways, good work! A well deserved 5.0
Balance: 5
As is customary, this cut-scene gets a 5.0
Creativity: 5
The trigger tricks for this game were vey impressive. You did a good job on the eye candy for the map. The music was good also, even though the second piece of music did not quite bit the bill, but that's a matter of opinion.
Map Design: 5
Your usage of elevation and trees and all the other stuff that makes a forest look like a forest was done without flaw! I have seen very few people do any better.
Story/Instructions: 4
The story line for this game was awsome! I was not mislead or confused at all with the story of this cutscene.
The only problem that will make me mark down on the score, is that there were just a couple of spelling mistakes, other than that, every thing was fine. If I could, I would prefer to rate this category a 4.8 instead of a four, but since I cannot do that, I must go with a 4.0.
Additional Comments:
I do know that you are working on another game right now, but I do hope that you might one day continue with this series. You just cannot stop here with this campaign!!! KEEP GOING WITH THE GAME!!!!!
Well, it's late, so I will do a spell check on this review tomorrow.
Good work!!!

Well this sure was a good and different (In a good way, of course) cut-scene
Playability: 5
I sure had fun watching this cutscene. It was just... fun. I mean, guys prancing around in a bar and the "cottoneye joe" (or whateva) playing in the background. It wasn't a boring cutscene, and when it's tempo went good, it didnt go worse, if you know what I mean. It really should give the Hollywood producers some ideas!! :P
Balance: 5
According to the review tutorial I rate this cut-scene 5.
Creativity: 5
A strong five here. It had great creativity, approaching the assasin way with a different angle than usually. Many nice tricks, like the *The assasin* name roll. And of course, the bar scene was really nice. The use of furniture was good, the real drunkardness and pranciness of a bar was accurate. Just the best 5 here.
Map design: 4
Sadly, I had to deduct a point here. The map design was overall worth a strong 5, but there were 2 not nice flaws, which just had to be marked. The first on was in the bar scene. I don't know what you think, but hawks flying inside a bar is... unnatural. Secondly, the bar floor was still seeable even without using any cheats, and seeing a large road 1 patch in a dense forest is weird.
Story/Instructions: 4
There was little story, but what existed, was inspiring and interesting. Maybe if you write something to the beginning of the game, to the scenario instructions? Anyway, it just seemed strange that a fat man just goes near a mysterious man, and takes a guess that he wants to kill someone. I liked the bitmap, though. And there were no spelling errors.
Overall, a great cutscene. And great music (The second song, of course!!!). Strongly urge you to download it, cuz cutsenes like this are hard to come by (unless anoter ADOC is declared...)
One more thing. The first try I played the cutscene, the fat man showed up in the bar, but said nothing... a trigger problem. Try to fix it. I think Basse had that problem too.
